Introduction 2.1

This is a thorough bible study about the meaning of the Greek word ἄγγελος, 'angelos' meaning 'angel' or 'messenger' (Strong's 32). It includes every verse where the word 'angelos' appears in the New Testament. To obtain a true understanding of this word these scriptures need to be meditated on and notes made of their meaning in different contexts. This requires putting scriptures together where they seem to have a similar meaning, and then meditating even more. The truth will be revealed by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to guide us into all truth (John 16:13). Wherever this word angelos appears in the Greek, the translation of it is highlighted with yellow. In Greek , with the exception of case endings, the suffixes and prepositions are not added to the basic word as in Hebrew, so these have not been been included in highlighted text. The exception is that we have included the definite article in the highlighted text when it has occurred, as this may be significant. Everywhere where the word angel is used with a possessive pronoun the article occurs but is not shown. For example: 'his angel' (Revelation 1:1) is translated from τοῦ ἀγγέλου αὐτοῦ, literally meaning 'the angel of him'. Every blessing be to those who seek the truth of God's word.
