This is a diagram diagram of the death, burial, resurrection, and first appearances of Jesus Christ to his disciples. The conclusion is that he was crucified about 9 a.m. or just before, on 14th Nisan which was a Wednesday morning. He died about 3 p.m. or just after the same day and was buried just before sunset. The 15th Nisan was a special Sabbath for the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, which was from sunset on Wednesday to sunset on Thursday, and the disciples rested on that day. To fulfil all the scriptures Jesus had to be buried for at least three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40, Mark 13:31), and also rise on the third day of the feast. Therefore it had to rise late on Saturday afternoon, which was the Sabbath day. He then appeared to his disciples several times on the first day of the week which was Sunday, after sunrise.
