Is Your Name Written in the Book of Life?

This is a gospel tract about your name being written in the book of life. There is nothing deliberately dishonest or deceitful in this tract. Its purpose is only to glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you notice any errors you may contact us.

This tract may be downloaded free as a zip file in "Microsoft Word 97-2003.doc" format, ready to print out and distribute. Download gospel tract. You may put your own church details on instead of ours, but we request that our Web-site address is left on the back. The tracts should be printed with Page 1 and Page 2 back to back, and then cut to size. The printer you use may need to be set to "Minimize the Margins" for them to print properly.

Book of Life?
The question is a very important one because it refers to the book of life, out of which people are one day going to be judged by God:

(Revelation 20v12) "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

What happens if your name is not in the book?

(Revelation 20v15) "And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." That’s HELL!

Even if your name was once written in the book, God has said, "Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my book." (Exodus 32v33).

So where does that leave you, dear reader?
God says we are all sinners: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23).
"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him (God) a liar, and his word is not in us."(1 John 1:10).

Your name was blotted out of the book of life when you sinned against God, and your destination became hell. Fortunately, God has made a way out for every one of us through the sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross:

"He was wounded for our transgress-ions, he was bruised for our iniquities." (Isaiah 53:5)
"His own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree." (1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus is not dead, because after he paid for the sins of the world to be forgiven, he rose from the dead after 3 days. Through the experience of being born again,
the spirit of Jesus Christ can come into your heart, and your name can be written back in the book of life.
(1 John 5v11-12) "And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He who has the Son has life; and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (St. John 3v16).
