| Are You Really OK? |
If you ask anybody how they are, they will usually reply, "I’m alright" or "I’m OK", whether they are or not. Some may know
that they are not really OK, but most people probably don’t. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived before Jesus, said, "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:" (Proverbs 21:2). "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes;" (Proverbs 16:2). "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes:" (Proverbs 12:15). "There is a way that seems right to a man; but the end of it are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12). So almost everyone has an "inward knowing" that they are alright, even when they are not. This is because their conscience does not discern between what is right and what is wrong. The conscience is an |
|
educated thing, and only discerns between
what they believe to be right, and what they believe to be wrong. God is
the only one who knows the truth, and he says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him (God) a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:10). Dear reader, this means that unless you know Jesus Christ as your own personal Lord and Saviour, and obtain the forgiveness of sins through him, you are certainly not "all right", because, "It is appointed to men once to die, but after that the Judgement." (Hebrews 9v27). After the judgement you will be cast into Hell (Revelation 20:15), and this is where you are heading right now. The good news is that God made a way out for you when he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for everybody’s sin: |
"He was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities." (Isaiah 53:5) "His own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree." (1 Peter 2:24). Dear reader, you can have all your sins forgiven and inherit eternal life with God through what Jesus has done. I urge you to receive him as your Lord and Saviour now: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved," (Acts 16:31). "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38). Come and learn more: |
