When will be the End of the World?

Some people are afraid that defects in the Ozone layer above the earth will lead to global warming and destroy the earth very soon, but it won’t happen. There will be some times of intense heat in the future1, but it will not destroy the earth. Others are afraid that with the present weapons of mass destruction that are upon the earth now, world war three will see the end of this planet. There will be some great wars in the future2, but they will not destroy the earth either. The truth is that there is no chance of either of these things happening within the next thousand years, so don’t worry! How can we know this? The future of this planet is written in the word of God, the bible, so we can know what is going to happen. The last great war of this present age will be the battle of Armageddon, when the armies of the world will surround Jerusalem, to end the middle east crisis once and for all, by destroying the Jews.

They will fail, because Jesus Christ will return a second time, and destroy all those who gather against Jerusalem3. He will then set up his kingdom on this earth, and reign for a thousand years4, during which time there will be no war. Dear reader, the important question is, where will you be at that time? Will you die a sinner before it happens, and wait in hell for the judgement when the thousand years are over5? Or will you survive through to Jesus’ second coming, only to die later with no hope of salvation, and also be cast into hell after the judgement6? Or will you repent of your sins, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, reign with him on this earth for a thousand years, and then spend eternity with him on the new earth which God will create for his people7? The choice is yours, but God wants you to be saved8.

Dear reader, time is running out, for God will cut off salvation from the nations of this world before Jesus returns9. I urge you, receive him now as your Lord and Saviour, and prepare yourself for his second coming. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:31).
