2 Thessalonians 3:1 De cetero fratres, orate pro nobis ut sermo Dei currat, et clarificetur, sicut et apud vos: 2 Thessalonians 3:1 to loipon proseuxesqe adelfoi peri hmwn ina o logoj tou kuriou trexh kai docazhtai kaqwj kai proj umaj 2 Thessalonians 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
3:2 et ut liberemur ab importunis, et malis hominibus: non enim omnium est fides. 3:2 kai ina rusqwmen apo twn atopwn kai ponhrwn anqrwpwn ou gar pantwn h pistij 3:2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3:3 Fidelis autem Deus est, qui confirmabit vos, et custodiet a malo. 3:3 pistoj de estin o kurioj oj sthricei umaj kai fulacei apo tou ponhrou 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
3:4 Confidimus autem de vobis, in Domino, quoniam quæ præcepimus, et facitis, et facietis. 3:4 pepoiqamen de en kuriw ef umaj oti a paraggellomen umin kai poieite kai poihsete 3:4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
3:5 Dominus autem dirigat corda vestra in caritate Dei, et patientia Christi. 3:5 o de kurioj kateuqunai umwn taj kardiaj eij thn agaphn tou qeou kai eij thn upomonhn tou xristou 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
3:6 Denuntiamus autem vobis, fratres, in nomine Domini nostri Jesu Christi, ut subtrahatis vos ab omni fratre ambulante inordinate, et non secundum traditionem, quam acceperunt a nobis. 3:6 paraggellomen de umin adelfoi en onomati tou kuriou hmwn ihsou xristou stellesqai umaj apo pantoj adelfou ataktwj peripatountoj kai mh kata thn paradosin hn parelaben par hmwn 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
3:7 Ipsi enim scitis quemadmodum oporteat imitari nos: quoniam non inquieti fuimus inter vos: 3:7 autoi gar oidate pwj dei mimeisqai hmaj oti ouk htakthsamen en umin 3:7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
3:8 neque gratis panem manducavimus ab aliquo, sed in labore, et in fatigatione, nocte et die operantes, ne quem vestrum gravaremus. 3:8 oude dwrean arton efagomen para tinoj all en kopw kai moxqw nukta kai hmeran ergazomenoi proj to mh epibarhsai tina umwn 3:8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
3:9 Non quasi non habuerimus potestatem, sed ut nosmetipsos formam daremus vobis ad imitandum nos. 3:9 oux oti ouk exomen ecousian all ina eautouj tupon dwmen umin eij to mimeisqai hmaj 3:9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 Nam et cum essemus apud vos, hoc denuntiabamus vobis: quoniam si quis non vult operari, nec manducet. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 kai gar ote hmen proj umaj touto parhggellomen umin oti ei tij ou qelei ergazesqai mhde esqietw 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
3:11 Audivimus enim inter vos quosdam ambulare inquiete, nihil operantes, sed curiose agentes. 3:11 akouomen gar tinaj peripatountaj en umin ataktwj mhden ergazomenouj alla periergazomenouj 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
3:12 Iis autem, qui ejusmodi sunt, denuntiemus, et obsecramus in Domino Jesu Christo, ut cum silentio operantes, suum panem manducent. 3:12 toij de toioutoij paraggellomen kai parakaloumen dia tou kuriou hmwn ihsou xristou ina meta hsuxiaj ergazomenoi ton eautwn arton esqiwsin 3:12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
3:13 Vos autem, fratres, nolite deficere benefacientes. 3:13 umeij de adelfoi mh ekkakhshte kalopoiountej 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
3:14 Quod si quis non obedit verbo nostro per epistolam, hunc notate, et ne commisceamini cum illo ut confundatur: 3:14 ei de tij oux upakouei tw logw hmwn dia thj epistolhj touton shmeiousqe kai mh sunanamignusqe autw ina entraph 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
3:15 et nolite quasi inimicum existimare, sed corripite ut fratrem. 3:15 kai mh wj exqron hgeisqe alla nouqeteite wj adelfon 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
3:16 Ipse autem Dominus pacis det vobis pacem sempiternam in omni loco. Dominus sit cum omnibus vobis. 3:16 autoj de o kurioj thj eirhnhj dwh umin thn eirhnhn dia pantoj en panti tropw o kurioj meta pantwn umwn 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
3:17 Salutatio, mea manu Pauli: quod est signum in omni epistola, ita scribo. 3:17 o aspasmoj th emh xeiri paulou o estin shmeion en pash epistolh outwj grafw 3:17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
3:18 Gratia Domini nostri Jesu Christi cum omnibus vobis. Amen. 3:18 h xarij tou kuriou hmwn ihsou xristou meta pantwn umwn amhn 3:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
