2:2 et quæ audisti a me per multos testes, hæc commenda fidelibus hominibus, qui idonei erant et alios docere. 2:2 kai a hkousaj par emou dia pollwn marturwn tauta paraqou pistoij anqrwpoij oitinej ikanoi esontai kai eterouj didacai 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2:5 Nam et qui certat in agone, non coronatur nisi legitime certaverit. 2:5 ean de kai aqlh tij ou stefanoutai ean mh nomimwj aqlhsh 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
2:6 Laborantem agricolam oportet primum de fructibus percipere. 2:6 ton kopiwnta gewrgon dei prwton twn karpwn metalambanein 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
2:7 Intellige quæ dico: dabit enim tibi Dominus in omnibus intellectum. 2:7 noei a legw dwh gar soi o kurioj sunesin en pasin 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
2:8 Memor esto Dominum Jesum Christum resurrexisse a mortuis ex semine David, secundum Evangelium meum, 2:8 mnhmoneue ihsoun xriston eghgermenon ek nekrwn ek spermatoj dabid kata to euaggelion mou 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
2:9 in quo laboro usque ad vincula, quasi male operans: sed verbum Dei non est alligatum. 2:9 en w kakopaqw mexri desmwn wj kakourgoj all o logoj tou qeou ou dedetai 2:9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

2:11 Fidelis sermo: nam si commortui sumus, et convivemus: 2:11 pistoj o logoj ei gar sunapeqanomen kai suzhsomen 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
2:12 si sustinebimus, et conregnabimus: si negaverimus, et ille negabit nos: 2:12 ei upomenomen kai sumbasileusomen ei arnoumeqa kakeinoj arnhsetai hmaj 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him : if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2:13 si non credimus, ille fidelis permanet, negare seipsum non potest. 2:13 ei apistoumen ekeinoj pistoj menei arnhsasqai eauton ou dunatai 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
2:14 Hæc commone, testificans coram Domino. Noli contendere verbis: ad nihil enim utile est, nisi ad subversionem audientium. 2:14 tauta upomimnhske diamarturomenoj enwpion tou kuriou mh logomaxein eij ouden xrhsimon epi katastrofh twn akouontwn 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2:15 Sollicite cura teipsum probabilem exhibere Deo, operarium inconfusibilem, recte tractantem verbum veritatis. 2:15 spoudason seauton dokimon parasthsai tw qew ergathn anepaisxunton orqotomounta ton logon thj alhqeiaj 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2:16 Profana autem et vaniloquia devita: multum enim proficiunt ad impietatem: 2:16 taj de bebhlouj kenofwniaj periistaso epi pleion gar prokoyousin asebeiaj 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2:17 et sermo eorum ut cancer serpit: ex quibus est Hymenæus et Philetus, 2:17 kai o logoj autwn wj gaggraina nomhn ecei wn estin umenaioj kai filhtoj 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2:18 qui a veritate exciderunt, dicentes resurrectionem esse jam factam, et subverterunt quorumdam fidem. 2:18 oitinej peri thn alhqeian hstoxhsan legontej thn anastasin hdh gegonenai kai anatrepousin thn tinwn pistin 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2:19 Sed firmum fundamentum Dei stat, habens signaculum hoc: cognovit Dominus qui sunt ejus, et discedat ab iniquitate omnis qui nominat nomen Domini. 2:19 o men toi stereoj qemelioj tou qeou esthken exwn thn sfragida tauthn egnw kurioj touj ontaj autou kai aposthtw apo adikiaj paj o onomazwn to onoma xristou 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2 Timothy 2:20 In magna autem domo non solum sunt vasa aurea, et argentea, sed et lignea, et fictilia: et quædam quidem in honorem, quædam autem in contumeliam. 2 Timothy 2:20 en megalh de oikia ouk estin monon skeuh xrusa kai argura alla kai culina kai ostrakina kai a men eij timhn a de eij atimian 2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

2:22 Juvenilia autem desideria fuge, sectare vero justitiam, fidem, spem, caritatem, et pacem cum iis qui invocant Dominum de corde puro. 2:22 taj de newterikaj epiqumiaj feuge diwke de dikaiosunhn pistin agaphn eirhnhn meta twn epikaloumenwn ton kurion ek kaqaraj kardiaj 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2:24 Servum autem Domini non oportet litigare: sed mansuetum esse ad omnes, docibilem, patientem, 2:24 doulon de kuriou ou dei maxesqai all hpion einai proj pantaj didaktikon anecikakon 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2:25 cum modestia corripientem eos qui resistunt veritati, nequando Deus det illis pœnitentiam ad cognoscendam veritatem, 2:25 en praothti paideuonta touj antidiatiqemenouj mhpote dw autoij o qeoj metanoian eij epignwsin alhqeiaj 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
