Colossians 2:1 Volo enim vos scire qualem sollicitudinem habeam pro vobis, et pro iis qui sunt Laodiciæ, et quicumque non viderunt faciem meam in carne: Colossians 2:1 qelw gar umaj eidenai hlikon agwna exw peri umwn kai twn en laodikeia kai osoi oux ewrakasin to proswpon mou en sarki Colossians 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for hem at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
3:2 ut consolentur corda ipsorum, instructi in caritate, et in omnes divitias plenitudinis intellectus, in agnitionem mysterii Dei Patris et Christi Jesu: 2:2 ina paraklhqwsin ai kardiai autwn sumbibasqentwn en agaph kai eij panta plouton thj plhroforiaj thj sunesewj eij epignwsin tou musthriou tou qeou kai patroj kai tou xristou 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3:3 in quo sunt omnes thesauri sapientiæ et scientiæ absconditi. 2:3 en w eisin pantej oi qhsauroi thj sofiaj kai thj gnwsewj apokrufoi 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
3:4 Hoc autem dico, ut nemo vos decipiat in sublimitate sermonum. 2:4 touto de legw ina mh tij umaj paralogizhtai en piqanologia 2:4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
3:5 Nam etsi corpore absens sum, sed spiritu vobiscum sum: gaudens, et videns ordinem vestrum, et firmamentum ejus, quæ in Christo est, fidei vestræ. 2:5 ei gar kai th sarki apeimi alla tw pneumati sun umin eimi xairwn kai blepwn umwn thn tacin kai to sterewma thj eij xriston pistewj umwn 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
3:6 Sicut ergo accepistis Jesum Christum Dominum, in ipso ambulate, 2:6 wj oun parelabete ton xriston ihsoun ton kurion en autw peripateite 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
3:7 radicati, et superædificati in ipso, et confirmati fide, sicut et didicistis, abundantes in illo in gratiarum actione. 2:7 errizwmenoi kai epoikodomoumenoi en autw kai bebaioumenoi en th pistei kaqwj edidaxqhte perisseuontej en auth en euxaristia 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
3:8 Videte ne quis vos decipiat per philosophiam, et inanem fallaciam secundum traditionem hominum, secundum elementa mundi, et non secundum Christum: 2:8 blepete mh tij umaj estai o sulagwgwn dia thj filosofiaj kai kenhj apathj kata thn paradosin twn anqrwpwn kata ta stoixeia tou kosmou kai ou kata xriston 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
3:9 quia in ipso inhabitat omnis plenitudo divinitatis corporaliter: 2:9 oti en autw katoikei pan to plhrwma thj qeothtoj swmatikwj 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:10 et estis in illo repleti, qui est caput omnis principatus et potestatis: Colossians 2:10 kai este en autw peplhrwmenoi oj estin h kefalh pashj arxhj kai ecousiaj Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
3:11 in quo et circumcisi estis circumcisione non manu facta in expoliatione corporis carnis, sed in circumcisione Christi: 2:11 en w kai perietmhqhte peritomh axeiropoihtw en th apekdusei tou swmatoj twn amartiwn thj sarkoj en th peritomh tou xristou 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
3:12 consepulti ei in baptismo, in quo et resurrexistis per fidem operationis Dei, qui suscitavit illum a mortuis. 2:12 suntafentej autw en tw baptismati en w kai sunhgerqhte dia thj pistewj thj energeiaj tou qeou tou egeirantoj auton ek twn nekrwn 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
3:13 Et vos cum mortui essetis in delictis, et præputio carnis vestræ, convivificavit cum illo, donans vobis omnia delicta: 2:13 kai umaj nekrouj ontaj en toij paraptwmasin kai th akrobustia thj sarkoj umwn sunezwopoihsen sun autw xarisamenoj umin panta ta paraptwmata 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
3:14 delens quod adversus nos erat chirographum decreti, quod erat contrarium nobis, et ipsum tulit de medio, affigens illud cruci: 2:14 ecaleiyaj to kaq hmwn xeirografon toij dogmasin o hn upenantion hmin kai auto hrken ek tou mesou proshlwsaj auto tw staurw 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
3:15 et expolians principatus, et potestates traduxit confidenter, palam triumphans illos in semetipso. 2:15 apekdusamenoj taj arxaj kai taj ecousiaj edeigmatisen en parrhsia qriambeusaj autouj en autw 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
3:16 Nemo ergo vos judicet in cibo, aut in potu, aut in parte diei festi, aut neomeniæ, aut sabbatorum: 2:16 mh oun tij umaj krinetw en brwsei h en posei h en merei eorthj h noumhniaj h sabbatwn 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
3:17 quæ sunt umbra futurorum: corpus autem Christi. 2:17 a estin skia twn mellontwn to de swma tou xristou 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
3:18 Nemo vos seducat, volens in humilitate, et religione angelorum, quæ non vidit ambulans, frustra inflatus sensu carnis suæ, 2:18 mhdeij umaj katabrabeuetw qelwn en tapeinofrosunh kai qrhskeia twn aggelwn a mh ewraken embateuwn eikh fusioumenoj upo tou nooj thj sarkoj autou 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
3:19 et non tenens caput, ex quo totum corpus per nexus, et conjunctiones subministratum, et constructum crescit in augmentum Dei. 2:19 kai ou kratwn thn kefalhn ec ou pan to swma dia twn afwn kai sundesmwn epixorhgoumenon kai sumbibazomenon aucei thn auchsin tou qeou 2:19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Colossians 2:20 Si ergo mortui estis cum Christo ab elementis hujus mundi: quid adhuc tamquam viventes in mundo decernitis? 3:22 quæ sunt omnia in interitum ipso usu, secundum præcepta et doctrinas hominum: 2:22 a estin panta eij fqoran th apoxrhsei kata ta entalmata kai didaskaliaj twn anqrwpwn 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
3:23 quæ sunt rationem quidem habentia sapientiæ in superstitione, et humilitate, et non ad parcendum corpori, non in honore aliquo ad saturitatem carnis. 2:23 atina estin logon men exonta sofiaj en eqeloqrhskeia kai tapeinofrosunh kai afeidia swmatoj ouk en timh tini proj plhsmonhn thj sarkoj 2:23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
