Colossians 3:1 Igitur, si consurrexistis cum Christo: quæ sursum sunt quærite, ubi Christus est in dextera Dei sedens: Colossians 3:1 ei oun sunhgerqhte tw xristw ta anw zhteite ou o xristoj estin en decia tou qeou kaqhmenoj Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
3:2 quæ sursum sunt sapite, non quæ super terram. 3:2 ta anw froneite mh ta epi thj ghj 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3:3 Mortui enim estis, et vita vestra est abscondita cum Christo in Deo. 3:3 apeqanete gar kai h zwh umwn kekruptai sun tw xristw en tw qew 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
3:4 Cum Christus apparuerit, vita vestra: tunc et vos apparebitis cum ipso in gloria. 3:4 otan o xristoj fanerwqh h zwh hmwn tote kai umeij sun autw fanerwqhsesqe en doch 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
3:5 Mortificate ergo membra vestra, quæ sunt super terram: fornicationem, immunditiam, libidinem, concupiscentiam malam, et avaritiam, quæ est simulacrorum servitus: 3:5 nekrwsate oun ta melh umwn ta epi thj ghj porneian akaqarsian paqoj epiqumian kakhn kai thn pleonecian htij estin eidwlolatreia 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
3:6 propter quæ venit ira Dei super filios incredulitatis: 3:6 di a erxetai h orgh tou qeou epi touj uiouj thj apeiqeiaj 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
3:7 in quibus et vos ambulastis aliquando, cum viveretis in illis. 3:7 en oij kai umeij periepathsate pote ote ezhte en autoij 3:7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
3:8 Nunc autem deponite et vos omnia: iram, indignationem, malitiam, blasphemiam, turpem sermonem de ore vestro. 3:8 nuni de apoqesqe kai umeij ta panta orghn qumon kakian blasfhmian aisxrologian ek tou stomatoj umwn 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
3:9 Nolite mentiri invicem, expoliantes vos veterem hominem cum actibus suis, 3:9 mh yeudesqe eij allhlouj apekdusamenoi ton palaion anqrwpon sun taij pracesin autou 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Colossians 3:10 et induentes novum eum, qui renovatur in agnitionem secundum imaginem ejus qui creavit illum: Colossians 3:10 kai endusamenoi ton neon ton anakainoumenon eij epignwsin kat eikona tou ktisantoj auton Colossians 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
3:11 ubi non est gentilis et Judæus, circumcisio et præputium, Barbarus et Scytha, servus et liber: sed omnia, et in omnibus Christus. 3:11 opou ouk eni ellhn kai ioudaioj peritomh kai akrobustia barbaroj skuqhj douloj eleuqeroj alla ta panta kai en pasin xristoj 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
3:12 Induite vos ergo, sicut electi Dei, sancti, et dilecti, viscera misericordiæ, benignitatem, humilitatem, modestiam, patientiam: 3:12 endusasqe oun wj eklektoi tou qeou agioi kai hgaphmenoi splagxna oiktirmwn xrhstothta tapeinofrosunhn praothta makroqumian 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
3:13 supportantes invicem, et donantes vobismetipsis si quis adversus aliquem habet querelam: sicut et Dominus donavit vobis, ita et vos. 3:13 anexomenoi allhlwn kai xarizomenoi eautoij ean tij proj tina exh momfhn kaqwj kai o xristoj exarisato umin outwj kai umeij 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
3:14 Super omnia autem hæc, caritatem habete, quod est vinculum perfectionis: 3:14 epi pasin de toutoij thn agaphn htij estin sundesmoj thj teleiothtoj 3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
3:15 et pax Christi exsultet in cordibus vestris, in qua et vocati estis in uno corpore: et grati estote. 3:15 kai h eirhnh tou qeou brabeuetw en taij kardiaij umwn eij hn kai eklhqhte en eni swmati kai euxaristoi ginesqe 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
3:16 Verbum Christi habitet in vobis abundanter, in omni sapientia, docentes, et commonentes vosmetipsos, psalmis, hymnis, et canticis spiritualibus, in gratia cantantes in cordibus vestris Deo. 3:16 o logoj tou xristou enoikeitw en umin plousiwj en pash sofia didaskontej kai nouqetountej eautouj yalmoij kai umnoij kai wdaij pneumatikaij en xariti adontej en th kardia umwn tw kuriw 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
3:17 Omne, quodcumque facitis in verbo aut in opere, omnia in nomine Domini Jesu Christi, gratias agentes Deo et Patri per ipsum. 3:17 kai pan o ti an poihte en logw h en ergw panta en onomati kuriou ihsou euxaristountej tw qew kai patri di autou 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
3:18 Mulieres, subditæ estote viris, sicut oportet, in Domino. 3:18 ai gunaikej upotassesqe toij idioij andrasin wj anhken en kuriw 3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
3:19 Viri, diligite uxores vestras, et nolite amari esse ad illas. 3:19 oi andrej agapate taj gunaikaj kai mh pikrainesqe proj autaj 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Colossians 3:20 Filii, obedite parentibus per omnia: hoc enim placitum est in Domino. Colossians 3:20 ta tekna upakouete toij goneusin kata panta touto gar estin euareston tw kuriw Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
3:21 Patres, nolite ad indignationem provocare filios vestros, ut non pusillo animo fiant. 3:21 oi paterej mh ereqizete ta tekna umwn ina mh aqumwsin 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
3:22 Servi, obedite per omnia dominis carnalibus, non ad oculum servientes, quasi hominibus placentes, sed in simplicitate cordis, timentes Deum. 3:22 oi douloi upakouete kata panta toij kata sarka kurioij mh en ofqalmodouleiaij wj anqrwpareskoi all en aplothti kardiaj foboumenoi ton qeon 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
3:23 Quodcumque facitis, ex animo operamini sicut Domino, et non hominibus: 3:23 kai pan o ti ean poihte ek yuxhj ergazesqe wj tw kuriw kai ouk anqrwpoij 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
3:24 scientes quod a Domino accipietis retributionem hæreditatis. Domino Christo servite. 3:24 eidotej oti apo kuriou apolhyesqe thn antapodosin thj klhronomiaj tw gar kuriw xristw douleuete 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
3:25 Qui enim injuriam facit, recipiet id quod inique gessit: et non est personarum acceptio apud Deum. 3:25 o de adikwn komieitai o hdikhsen kai ouk estin proswpolhyia 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
