Galatians 5:1 State, et nolite iterum jugo servitutis contineri. Galatians 5:1 th eleuqeria oun h xristoj hmaj hleuqerwsen sthkete kai mh palin zugw douleiaj enexesqe Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
5:2 Ecce ego Paulus dico vobis: quoniam si circumcidamini, Christus vobis nihil proderit. 5:2 ide egw pauloj legw umin oti ean peritemnhsqe xristoj umaj ouden wfelhsei 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
5:3 Testificor autem rursus omni homini circumcidenti se, quoniam debitor est universæ legis faciendæ. 5:3 marturomai de palin panti anqrwpw peritemnomenw oti ofeilethj estin olon ton nomon poihsai 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
5:4 Evacuati estis a Christo, qui in lege justificamini: a gratia excidistis. 5:4 kathrghqhte apo tou xristou oitinej en nomw dikaiousqe thj xaritoj ecepesate 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5:5 Nos enim spiritu ex fide, spem justitiæ exspectamus. 5:5 hmeij gar pneumati ek pistewj elpida dikaiosunhj apekdexomeqa 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
5:6 Nam in Christo Jesu neque circumcisio aliquid valet, neque præputium: sed fides, quæ per caritatem operatur. 5:6 en gar xristw ihsou oute peritomh ti isxuei oute akrobustia alla pistij di agaphj energoumenh 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
5:7 Currebatis bene: quis vos impedivit veritati non obedire? 5:7 etrexete kalwj tij umaj anekoyen th alhqeia mh peiqesqai 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
5:8 persuasio hæc non est ex eo, qui vocat vos. 5:8 h peismonh ouk ek tou kalountoj umaj 5:8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
5:9 Modicum fermentum totam massam corrumpit. 5:9 mikra zumh olon to furama zumoi 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Galatians 5:10 Ego confido in vobis in Domino, quod nihil aliud sapietis: qui autem conturbat vos, portabit judicium, quicumque est ille. Galatians 5:10 egw pepoiqa eij umaj en kuriw oti ouden allo fronhsete o de tarasswn umaj bastasei to krima ostij an h Galatians 5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
5:11 Ego autem, fratres, si circumcisionem adhuc prædico: quid adhuc persecutionem patior? ergo evacuatum est scandalum crucis. 5:11 egw de adelfoi ei peritomhn eti khrussw ti eti diwkomai ara kathrghtai to skandalon tou staurou 5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
5:12 Utinam et abscindantur qui vos conturbant. 5:12 ofelon kai apokoyontai oi anastatountej umaj 5:12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
5:13 Vos enim in libertatem vocati estis, fratres: tantum ne libertatem in occasionem detis carnis, sed per caritatem Spiritus servite invicem. 5:13 umeij gar ep eleuqeria eklhqhte adelfoi monon mh thn eleuqerian eij aformhn th sarki alla dia thj agaphj douleuete allhloij 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
5:14 Omnis enim lex in uno sermone impletur: Diliges proximum tuum sicut teipsum. 5:14 o gar paj nomoj en eni logw plhroutai en tw agaphseij ton plhsion sou wj eauton 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
5:15 Quod si invicem mordetis, et comeditis: videte ne ab invicem consumamini. 5:15 ei de allhlouj daknete kai katesqiete blepete mh upo allhlwn analwqhte 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
5:16 Dico autem: Spiritu ambulate, et desideria carnis non perficietis. 5:16 legw de pneumati peripateite kai epiqumian sarkoj ou mh teleshte 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
5:17 Caro enim concupiscit adversus spiritum, spiritus autem adversus carnem: hæc enim sibi invicem adversantur, ut non quæcumque vultis, illa faciatis. 5:17 h gar sarc epiqumei kata tou pneumatoj to de pneuma kata thj sarkoj tauta de antikeitai allhloij ina mh a an qelhte tauta poihte 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
5:18 Quod si Spiritu ducimini, non estis sub lege. 5:18 ei de pneumati agesqe ouk este upo nomon 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
5:19 Manifesta sunt autem opera carnis, quæ sunt fornicatio, immunditia, impudicitia, luxuria, 5:19 fanera de estin ta erga thj sarkoj atina estin moixeia porneia akaqarsia aselgeia 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Galatians 5:20 idolorum servitus, veneficia, inimicitiæ, contentiones, æmulationes, iræ, rixæ, dissensiones, sectæ, Galatians 5:20 eidwlolatreia farmakeia exqrai ereij zhloi qumoi eriqeiai dixostasiai aireseij Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

5:22 Fructus autem Spiritus est caritas, gaudium, pax, patientia, benignitas, bonitas, longanimitas, 5:22 o de karpoj tou pneumatoj estin agaph xara eirhnh makroqumia xrhstothj agaqwsunh pistij 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
5:23 mansuetudo, fides, modestia, continentia, castitas. Adversus hujusmodi non est lex. 5:23 praothj egkrateia kata twn toioutwn ouk estin nomoj 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
5:24 Qui autem sunt Christi, carnem suam crucifixerunt cum vitiis et concupiscentiis. 5:24 oi de tou xristou thn sarka estaurwsan sun toij paqhmasin kai taij epiqumiaij 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
5:25 Si Spiritu vivimus, Spiritu et ambulemus. 5:25 ei zwmen pneumati pneumati kai stoixwmen 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
5:26 Non efficiamur inanis gloriæ cupidi, invicem provocantes, invicem invidentes. 5:26 mh ginwmeqa kenodocoi allhlouj prokaloumenoi allhloij fqonountej 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
