HEBREWS CHAPTER 13

Latin VulgateGreek Textus ReceptusEnglish King James
Hebrews 13:1 Caritas fraternitatis maneat in vobis, Hebrews 13:1 ἡ φιλαδελφία μενέτω Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
13:2 τῆς φιλοξενίας μὴ ἐπιλανθάνεσθε διὰ ταύτης γὰρ ἔλαθόν τινες ξενίσαντες ἀγγέλους 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
13:3 Mementote vinctorum, tamquam simul vincti: et laborantium, tamquam et ipsi in corpore morantes. 13:3 μιμνῄσκεσθε τῶν δεσμίων ὡς συνδεδεμένοι τῶν κακουχουμένων ὡς καὶ αὐτοὶ ὄντες ἐν σώματι 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
13:4 Honorabile connubium in omnibus, et thorus immaculatus. Fornicatores enim, et adulteros judicabit Deus. 13:4 τίμιος ὁ γάμος ἐν πᾶσιν καὶ ἡ κοίτη ἀμίαντος πόρνους δὲ καὶ μοιχοὺς κρινεῖ ὁ θεός 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
13:5 Sint mores sine avaritia, contenti præsentibus: ipse enim dixit: Non te deseram, neque derelinquam: 13:5 ἀφιλάργυρος ὁ τρόπος ἀρκούμενοι τοῖς παροῦσιν αὐτὸς γὰρ εἴρηκεν οὐ μή σε ἀνῶ οὐδ᾽ οὐ μή σε ἐγκαταλίπω 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
13:6 ὥστε θαῤῥοῦντας ἡμᾶς λέγειν κύριος ἐμοὶ βοηθός καὶ οὐ φοβηθήσομαι τί ποιήσει μοι ἄνθρωπος 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
13:7 Mementote præpositorum vestrorum, qui vobis locuti sunt verbum Dei: quorum intuentes exitum conversationis, imitamini fidem. 13:7 μνημονεύετε τῶν ἡγουμένων ὑμῶν οἵτινες ἐλάλησαν ὑμῖν τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ ὧν ἀναθεωροῦντες τὴν ἔκβασιν τῆς ἀναστροφῆς μιμεῖσθε τὴν πίστιν 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
13:8 Jesus Christus heri, et hodie: ipse et in sæcula. 13:8 ἰησοῦς χριστὸς χθὲς καὶ σήμερον ὁ αὐτός καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
13:9 διδαχαῖς ποικίλαις καὶ ξέναις μὴ περιφέρεσθε καλὸν γὰρ χάριτι βεβαιοῦσθαι τὴν καρδίαν οὐ βρώμασιν ἐν οἷς οὐκ ὠφελήθησαν οἱ περιπατήσαντες 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Hebrews 13:10 ἔχομεν θυσιαστήριον ἐξ οὗ φαγεῖν οὐκ ἔχουσιν ἐξουσίαν οἱ τῇ σκηνῇ λατρεύοντες Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
13:11 ὧν γὰρ εἰσφέρεται ζῴων τὸ αἷμα περὶ ἁμαρτίας εἰς τὰ ἅγια διὰ τοῦ ἀρχιερέως τούτων τὰ σώματα κατακαίεται ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
13:12 διὸ καὶ ἰησοῦς ἵνα ἁγιάσῃ διὰ τοῦ ἰδίου αἵματος τὸν λαόν ἔξω τῆς πύλης ἔπαθεν 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13:13 Exeamus igitur ad eum extra castra, improperium ejus portantes. 13:13 τοίνυν ἐξερχώμεθα πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς τὸν ὀνειδισμὸν αὐτοῦ φέροντες 13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
13:14 οὐ γὰρ ἔχομεν ὧδε μένουσαν πόλιν ἀλλὰ τὴν μέλλουσαν ἐπιζητοῦμεν 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
13:15 Per ipsum ergo offeramus hostiam laudis semper Deo, id est, fructum labiorum confitentium nomini ejus. 13:15 δι᾽ αὐτοῦ οὖν ἀναφέρωμεν θυσίαν αἰνέσεως διαπαντός τῷ θεῷ τουτέστιν καρπὸν χειλέων ὁμολογούντων τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
13:16 τῆς δὲ εὐποιΐας καὶ κοινωνίας μὴ ἐπιλανθάνεσθε τοιαύταις γὰρ θυσίαις εὐαρεστεῖται ὁ θεός 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
13:17 πείθεσθε τοῖς ἡγουμένοις ὑμῶν καὶ ὑπείκετε αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀγρυπνοῦσιν ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ὑμῶν ὡς λόγον ἀποδώσοντες ἵνα μετὰ χαρᾶς τοῦτο ποιῶσιν καὶ μὴ στενάζοντες ἀλυσιτελὲς γὰρ ὑμῖν τοῦτο 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
13:18 Orate pro nobis: confidimus enim quia bonam conscientiam habemus in omnibus bene volentes conversari. 13:18 προσεύχεσθε περὶ ἡμῶν πεποίθαμεν γὰρ ὅτι καλὴν συνείδησιν ἔχομεν ἐν πᾶσιν καλῶς θέλοντες ἀναστρέφεσθαι 13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
13:19 περισσοτέρως δὲ παρακαλῶ τοῦτο ποιῆσαι ἵνα τάχιον ἀποκατασταθῶ ὑμῖν 13:19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
Hebrews 13:20 Deus autem pacis, qui eduxit de mortuis pastorem magnum ovium, in sanguine testamenti æterni, Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum, Hebrews 13:20 ὁ δὲ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης ὁ ἀναγαγὼν ἐκ νεκρῶν τὸν ποιμένα τῶν προβάτων τὸν μέγαν ἐν αἵματι διαθήκης αἰωνίου τὸν κύριον ἡμῶν ἰησοῦν Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Amen. 13:21 καταρτίσαι ὑμᾶς ἐν παντὶ ἔργῳ ἀγαθῷ εἰς τὸ ποιῆσαι τὸ θέλημα αὐτοῦ ποιῶν ἐν ὑμῖν τὸ εὐάρεστον ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ διὰ ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ ᾧ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων ἀμήν 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Etenim perpaucis scripsi vobis. 13:22 παρακαλῶ δὲ ὑμᾶς ἀδελφοί ἀνέχεσθε τοῦ λόγου τῆς παρακλήσεως καὶ γὰρ διὰ βραχέων ἐπέστειλα ὑμῖν 13:22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
13:23 γινώσκετε τὸν ἀδελφὸν τιμόθεον ἀπολελυμένον μεθ᾽ οὗ ἐὰν τάχιον ἔρχηται ὄψομαι ὑμᾶς 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
13:24 Salutate omnes præpositos vestros, et omnes sanctos. Salutant vos de Italia fratres. 13:24 ἀσπάσασθε πάντας τοὺς ἡγουμένους ὑμῶν καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἁγίους ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἀπὸ τῆς ἰταλίας 13:24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
13:25 Gratia cum omnibus vobis. Amen. 13:25 ἡ χάρις μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν ἀμήν 13:25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
