Hebrews 13:1 Caritas fraternitatis maneat in vobis, Hebrews 13:1 h filadelfia menetw Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
13:2 et hospitalitatem nolite oblivisci: per hanc enim latuerunt quidam, angelis hospitio receptis. 13:2 thj filoceniaj mh epilanqanesqe dia tauthj gar elaqon tinej cenisantej aggelouj 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
13:3 Mementote vinctorum, tamquam simul vincti: et laborantium, tamquam et ipsi in corpore morantes. 13:3 mimnhskesqe twn desmiwn wj sundedemenoi twn kakouxoumenwn wj kai autoi ontej en swmati 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
13:4 Honorabile connubium in omnibus, et thorus immaculatus. Fornicatores enim, et adulteros judicabit Deus. 13:4 timioj o gamoj en pasin kai h koith amiantoj pornouj de kai moixouj krinei o qeoj 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
13:5 Sint mores sine avaritia, contenti præsentibus: ipse enim dixit: Non te deseram, neque derelinquam: 13:5 afilarguroj o tropoj arkoumenoi toij parousin autoj gar eirhken ou mh se anw oud ou mh se egkatalipw 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
13:6 ita ut confidenter dicamus: Dominus mihi adjutor: non timebo quid faciat mihi homo. 13:6 wste qarrountaj hmaj legein kurioj emoi bohqoj kai ou fobhqhsomai ti poihsei moi anqrwpoj 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
13:7 Mementote præpositorum vestrorum, qui vobis locuti sunt verbum Dei: quorum intuentes exitum conversationis, imitamini fidem. 13:7 mnhmoneuete twn hgoumenwn umwn oitinej elalhsan umin ton logon tou qeou wn anaqewrountej thn ekbasin thj anastrofhj mimeisqe thn pistin 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
13:8 Jesus Christus heri, et hodie: ipse et in sæcula. 13:8 ihsouj xristoj xqej kai shmeron o autoj kai eij touj aiwnaj 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
13:9 Doctrinis variis et peregrinis nolite abduci. Optimum est enim gratia stabilire cor, non escis: quæ non profuerunt ambulantibus in eis. 13:9 didaxaij poikilaij kai cenaij mh periferesqe kalon gar xariti bebaiousqai thn kardian ou brwmasin en oij ouk wfelhqhsan oi peripathsantej 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Hebrews 13:10 Habemus altare, de quo edere non habent potestatem, qui tabernaculo deserviunt. Hebrews 13:10 exomen qusiasthrion ec ou fagein ouk exousin ecousian oi th skhnh latreuontej Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
13:11 Quorum enim animalium infertur sanguis pro peccato in Sancta per pontificem, horum corpora cremantur extra castra. 13:11 wn gar eisferetai zwwn to aima peri amartiaj eij ta agia dia tou arxierewj toutwn ta swmata katakaietai ecw thj parembolhj 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
13:12 Propter quod et Jesus, ut sanctificaret per suum sanguinem populum, extra portam passus est. 13:12 dio kai ihsouj ina agiash dia tou idiou aimatoj ton laon ecw thj pulhj epaqen 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13:13 Exeamus igitur ad eum extra castra, improperium ejus portantes. 13:13 toinun ecerxwmeqa proj auton ecw thj parembolhj ton oneidismon autou ferontej 13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
13:14 Non enim habemus hic manentem civitatem, sed futuram inquirimus. 13:14 ou gar exomen wde menousan polin alla thn mellousan epizhtoumen 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
13:15 Per ipsum ergo offeramus hostiam laudis semper Deo, id est, fructum labiorum confitentium nomini ejus. 13:15 di autou oun anaferwmen qusian ainesewj diapantoj tw qew tout estin karpon xeilewn omologountwn tw onomati autou 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
13:16 Beneficentiæ autem et communionis nolite oblivisci: talibus enim hostiis promeretur Deus. 13:16 thj de eupoiiaj kai koinwniaj mh epilanqanesqe toiautaij gar qusiaij euaresteitai o qeoj 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
13:17 Obedite præpositis vestris, et subjacete eis. Ipsi enim pervigilant quasi rationem pro animabus vestris reddituri, ut cum gaudio hoc faciant, et non gementes: hoc enim non expedit vobis. 13:17 peiqesqe toij hgoumenoij umwn kai upeikete autoi gar agrupnousin uper twn yuxwn umwn wj logon apodwsontej ina meta xaraj touto poiwsin kai mh stenazontej alusitelej gar umin touto 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
13:18 Orate pro nobis: confidimus enim quia bonam conscientiam habemus in omnibus bene volentes conversari. 13:18 proseuxesqe peri hmwn pepoiqamen gar oti kalhn suneidhsin exomen en pasin kalwj qelontej anastrefesqai 13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
13:19 Amplius autem deprecor vos hoc facere, quo celerius restituar vobis. 13:19 perissoterwj de parakalw touto poihsai ina taxion apokatastaqw umin 13:19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
Hebrews 13:20 Deus autem pacis, qui eduxit de mortuis pastorem magnum ovium, in sanguine testamenti æterni, Dominum nostrum Jesum Christum, Hebrews 13:20 o de qeoj thj eirhnhj o anagagwn ek nekrwn ton poimena twn probatwn ton megan en aimati diaqhkhj aiwniou ton kurion hmwn ihsoun Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
13:21 aptet vos in omni bono, ut faciatis ejus voluntatem: faciens in vobis quod placeat coram se per Jesum Christum: cui est gloria in sæcula sæculorum. Amen. 13:21 katartisai umaj en panti ergw agaqw eij to poihsai to qelhma autou poiwn en umin to euareston enwpion autou dia ihsou xristou w h doca eij touj aiwnaj twn aiwnwn amhn 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. 13:22 Rogo autem vos fratres, ut sufferatis verbum solatii. Etenim perpaucis scripsi vobis. 13:22 parakalw de umaj adelfoi anexesqe tou logou thj paraklhsewj kai gar dia braxewn epesteila umin 13:22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
13:23 Cognoscite fratrem nostrum Timotheum dimissum: cum quo (si celerius venerit) videbo vos. 13:23 ginwskete ton adelfon timoqeon apolelumenon meq ou ean taxion erxhtai oyomai umaj 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
13:24 Salutate omnes præpositos vestros, et omnes sanctos. Salutant vos de Italia fratres. 13:24 aspasasqe pantaj touj hgoumenouj umwn kai pantaj touj agiouj aspazontai umaj oi apo thj italiaj 13:24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
13:25 Gratia cum omnibus vobis. Amen. 13:25 h xarij meta pantwn umwn amhn 13:25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
