1 Corinthians 6:1 Audet aliquis vestrum habens negotium adversus alterum, judicari apud iniquos, et non apud sanctos? 1 Corinthians 6:1 tolma tij umwn pragma exwn proj ton eteron krinesqai epi twn adikwn kai ouxi epi twn agiwn 1 Corinthians 6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
6:2 an nescitis quoniam sancti de hoc mundo judicabunt? et si in vobis judicabitur mundus, indigni estis qui de minimis judicetis? 6:2 ouk oidate oti oi agioi ton kosmon krinousin kai ei en umin krinetai o kosmoj anacioi este krithriwn elaxistwn 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
6:3 Nescitis quoniam angelos judicabimus? quanto magis sæcularia? 6:3 ouk oidate oti aggelouj krinoumen mhti ge biwtika 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
6:4 Sæcularia igitur judicia si habueritis: contemptibiles, qui sunt in ecclesia, illos constituite ad judicandum. 6:4 biwtika men oun krithria ean exhte touj ecouqenhmenouj en th ekklhsia toutouj kaqizete 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
6:5 Ad verecundiam vestram dico. Sic non est inter vos sapiens quisquam, qui possit judicare inter fratrem suum? 6:5 proj entrophn umin legw outwj ouk estin en umin sofoj oude eij oj dunhsetai diakrinai ana meson tou adelfou autou 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6:6 Sed frater cum fratre judicio contendit: et hoc apud infideles? 6:6 alla adelfoj meta adelfou krinetai kai touto epi apistwn 6:6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
6:7 Jam quidem omnino delictum est in vobis, quod judicia habetis inter vos. Quare non magis injuriam accipitis? quare non magis fraudem patimini? 6:7 hdh men oun olwj htthma en umin estin oti krimata exete meq eautwn dia ti ouxi mallon adikeisqe dia ti ouxi mallon apostereisqe 6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
6:8 Sed vos injuriam facitis, et fraudatis: et hoc fratribus. 6:8 alla umeij adikeite kai apostereite kai tauta adelfouj 6:8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
6:9 An nescitis quia iniqui regnum Dei non possidebunt? Nolite errare: neque fornicarii, neque idolis servientes, neque adulteri, 6:9 h ouk oidate oti adikoi basileian qeou ou klhronomhsousin mh planasqe oute pornoi oute eidwlolatrai oute moixoi oute malakoi oute arsenokoitai 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1 Corinthians 6:10 neque molles, neque masculorum concubitores, neque fures, neque avari, neque ebriosi, neque maledici, neque rapaces regnum Dei possidebunt. 1 Corinthians 6:10 oute kleptai oute pleonektai oute mequsoi ou loidoroi oux arpagej basileian qeou ou klhronomhsousin 1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
6:11 Et hæc quidam fuistis: sed abluti estis, sed sanctificati estis, sed justificati estis in nomine Domini nostri Jesu Christi, et in Spiritu Dei nostri. 6:11 kai tauta tinej hte alla apelousasqe alla hgiasqhte all edikaiwqhte en tw onomati tou kuriou ihsou kai en tw pneumati tou qeou hmwn 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
6:12 Omnia mihi licent, sed non omnia expediunt: omnia mihi licent, sed ego sub nullis redigar potestate. 6:12 panta moi ecestin all ou panta sumferei panta moi ecestin all ouk egw ecousiasqhsomai upo tinoj 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
6:13 Esca ventri, et venter escis: Deus autem et hunc et has destruet: corpus autem non fornicationi, sed Domino: et Dominus corpori. 6:13 ta brwmata th koilia kai h koilia toij brwmasin o de qeoj kai tauthn kai tauta katarghsei to de swma ou th porneia alla tw kuriw kai o kurioj tw swmati 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
6:14 Deus vero et Dominum suscitavit: et nos suscitabit per virtutem suam. 6:14 o de qeoj kai ton kurion hgeiren kai hmaj ecegerei dia thj dunamewj autou 6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
6:15 Nescitis quoniam corpora vestra membra sunt Christi? Tollens ergo membra Christi, faciam membra meretricis? Absit. 6:15 ouk oidate oti ta swmata umwn melh xristou estin araj oun ta melh tou xristou poihsw pornhj melh mh genoito 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
6:16 An nescitis quoniam qui adhæret meretrici, unum corpus efficitur? Erunt enim (inquit) duo in carne una. 6:16 h ouk oidate oti o kollwmenoj th pornh en swma estin esontai gar fhsin oi duo eij sarka mian 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
6:17 Qui autem adhæret Domino, unus spiritus est. 6:17 o de kollwmenoj tw kuriw en pneuma estin 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
6:18 Fugite fornicationem. Omne peccatum, quodcumque fecerit homo, extra corpus est: qui autem fornicatur, in corpus suum peccat. 6:18 feugete thn porneian pan amarthma o ean poihsh anqrwpoj ektoj tou swmatoj estin o de porneuwn eij to idion swma amartanei 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
6:19 An nescitis quoniam membra vestra, templum sunt Spiritus Sancti, qui in vobis est, quem habetis a Deo, et non estis vestri? 6:19 h ouk oidate oti to swma umwn naoj tou en umin agiou pneumatoj estin ou exete apo qeou kai ouk este eautwn 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:20 Empti enim estis pretio magno. Glorificate, et portate Deum in corpore vestro. 1 Corinthians 6:20 hgorasqhte gar timhj docasate dh ton qeon en tw swmati umwn kai en tw pneumati umwn atina estin tou qeou 1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
