2 Corinthians 4:1 Ideo habentes administrationem, juxta quod misericordiam consecuti sumus, non deficimus, 2 Corinthians 4:1 dia touto exontej thn diakonian tauthn kaqwj hlehqhmen ouk ekkakoumen 2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
4:2 sed abdicamus occulta dedecoris, non ambulantes in astutia, neque adulterantes verbum Dei, sed in manifestatione veritatis commendantes nosmetipsos ad omnem conscientiam hominum coram Deo. 4:2 all apeipameqa ta krupta thj aisxunhj mh peripatountej en panourgia mhde dolountej ton logon tou qeou alla th fanerwsei thj alhqeiaj sunistwntej eautouj proj pasan suneidhsin anqrwpwn enwpion tou qeou 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
4:3 Quod si etiam opertum est Evangelium nostrum, in iis, qui pereunt, est opertum: 4:3 ei de kai estin kekalummenon to euaggelion hmwn en toij apollumenoij estin kekalummenon 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4:4 in quibus Deus hujus sæculi excæcavit mentes infidelium, ut non fulgeat illis illuminatio Evangelii gloriæ Christi, qui est imago Dei. 4:4 en oij o qeoj tou aiwnoj toutou etuflwsen ta nohmata twn apistwn eij to mh augasai autoij ton fwtismon tou euaggeliou thj dochj tou xristou oj estin eikwn tou qeou 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

4:7 Habemus autem thesaurum istum in vasis fictilibus: ut sublimitas sit virtutis Dei, et non ex nobis. 4:7 exomen de ton qhsauron touton en ostrakinoij skeuesin ina h uperbolh thj dunamewj h tou qeou kai mh ec hmwn 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Quæ enim videntur, temporalia sunt: quæ autem non videntur, æterna sunt. 4:18 mh skopountwn hmwn ta blepomena alla ta mh blepomena ta gar blepomena proskaira ta de mh blepomena aiwnia 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
