Latin VulgateGreek Textus ReceptusEnglish King James
Acts 4:1 Loquentibus autem illis ad populum, supervenerunt sacerdotes, et magistratus templi, et sadducæi, Acts 4:1 lalountwn de autwn proj ton laon epesthsan autoij oi iereij kai o strathgoj tou ierou kai oi saddoukaioi Acts 4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

4:3 et injecerunt in eos manus, et posuerunt eos in custodiam in crastinum: erat enim jam vespera. 4:3 kai epebalon autoij taj xeiraj kai eqento eij thrhsin eij thn aurion hn gar espera hdh 4:3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4:4 Multi autem eorum qui audierant verbum, crediderunt: et factus est numerus virorum quinque millia. 4:4 polloi de twn akousantwn ton logon episteusan kai egenhqh o ariqmoj twn andrwn wsei xiliadej pente 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
4:5 Factum est autem in crastinum, ut congregarentur principes eorum, et seniores, et scribæ, in Jerusalem: 4:5 egeneto de epi thn aurion sunaxqhnai autwn touj arxontaj kai presbuterouj kai grammateij eij ierousalhm 4:5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

4:7 Et statuentes eos in medio, interrogabant: In qua virtute, aut in quo nomine fecistis hoc vos? 4:7 kai sthsantej autouj en tw mesw epunqanonto en poia dunamei h en poiw onomati epoihsate touto umeij 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
4:8 Tunc repletus Spiritu Sancto Petrus, dixit ad eos: Principes populi, et seniores, audite: 4:8 tote petroj plhsqeij pneumatoj agiou eipen proj autouj arxontej tou laou kai presbuteroi tou israhl 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

4:13 Videntes autem Petri constantiam, et Joannis, comperto quod homines essent sine litteris, et idiotæ, admirabantur, et cognoscebant eos quoniam cum Jesu fuerant: 4:13 qewrountej de thn tou petrou parrhsian kai iwannou kai katalabomenoi oti anqrwpoi agrammatoi eisin kai idiwtai eqaumazon epeginwskon te autouj oti sun tw ihsou hsan 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
