5:2 et fraudavit de pretio agri, conscia uxore sua: et afferens partem quamdam, ad pedes Apostolorum posuit. 5:2 kai enosfisato apo thj timhj suneiduiaj kai thj gunaikoj autou kai enegkaj meroj ti para touj podaj twn apostolwn eqhken 5:2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
5:3 Dixit autem Petrus: Anania, cur tentavit Satanas cor tuum, mentiri te Spiritui Sancto, et fraudare de pretio agri? 5:3 eipen de petroj anania dia ti eplhrwsen o satanaj thn kardian sou yeusasqai se to pneuma to agion kai nosfisasqai apo thj timhj tou xwriou 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

5:5 Audiens autem Ananias hæc verba, cecidit, et expiravit. 5:7 Factum est autem quasi horarum trium spatium, et uxor ipsius, nesciens quod factum fuerat, introivit. 5:7 egeneto de wj wrwn triwn diasthma kai h gunh autou mh eiduia to gegonoj eishlqen 5:7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
5:8 Dixit autem ei Petrus: Dic mihi mulier, si tanti agrum vendidistis? At illa dixit: Etiam tanti. 5:8 apekriqh de auth o petroj eipe moi ei tosoutou to xwrion apedosqe h de eipen nai tosoutou 5:8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
5:9 Petrus autem ad eam: Quid utique convenit vobis tentare Spiritum Domini? Ecce pedes eorum qui sepelierunt virum tuum ad ostium, et efferent te. 5:9 o de petroj eipen proj authn ti oti sunefwnhqh umin peirasai to pneuma kuriou idou oi podej twn qayantwn ton andra sou epi th qura kai ecoisousin se 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Acts 5:10 Confestim cecidit ante pedes ejus, et expiravit. Intrantes autem juvenes invenerunt illam mortuam: et extulerunt, et sepelierunt ad virum suum. 5:12 Per manus autem Apostolorum fiebant signa et prodigia multa in plebe. Et erant unanimiter omnes in porticu Salomonis. 5:12 dia de twn xeirwn twn apostolwn egineto shmeia kai terata en tw law polla kai hsan omoqumadon apantej en th stoa solomwntoj 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
5:13 Ceterorum autem nemo audebat se conjungere illis: sed magnificabat eos populus. 5:13 twn de loipwn oudeij etolma kollasqai autoij all emegalunen autouj o laoj 5:13 And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
5:14 Magis autem augebatur credentium in Domino multitudo virorum ac mulierum, 5:14 mallon de prosetiqento pisteuontej tw kuriw plhqh andrwn te kai gunaikwn 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
5:15 ita ut in plateas ejicerent infirmos, et ponerent in lectulis et grabatis, ut, veniente Petro, saltem umbra illius obumbraret quemquam illorum, et liberarentur ab infirmitatibus suis. 5:15 wste kata taj plateiaj ekferein touj asqeneij kai tiqenai epi klinwn kai krabbatwn ina erxomenou petrou kan h skia episkiash tini autwn 5:15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
5:16 Concurrebat autem et multitudo vicinarum civitatum Jerusalem, afferentes ægros, et vexatos a spiritibus immundis: qui curabantur omnes. 5:16 sunhrxeto de kai to plhqoj twn peric polewn eij ierousalhm ferontej asqeneij kai oxloumenouj upo pneumatwn akaqartwn oitinej eqerapeuonto apantej 5:16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
5:17 Exsurgens autem princeps sacerdotum, et omnes qui cum illo erant (quæ est hæresis sadducæorum), repleti sunt zelo: 5:17 anastaj de o arxiereuj kai pantej oi sun autw h ousa airesij twn saddoukaiwn eplhsqhsan zhlou 5:17 Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
5:18 et injecerunt manus in Apostolos, et posuerunt eos in custodia publica. 5:18 kai epebalon taj xeiraj autwn epi touj apostolouj kai eqento autouj en thrhsei dhmosia 5:18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
5:19 Angelus autem Domini per noctem aperiens januas carceris, et educens eos, dixit: 5:19 aggeloj de kuriou dia thj nuktoj hnoicen taj quraj thj fulakhj ecagagwn te autouj eipen 5:19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
Acts 5:20 Ite, et stantes loquimini in templo plebi omnia verba vitæ hujus. Acts 5:20 poreuesqe kai staqentej laleite en tw ierw tw law panta ta rhmata thj zwhj tauthj Acts 5:20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
5:21 Qui cum audissent, intraverunt diluculo in templum, et docebant. Adveniens autem princeps sacerdotum, et qui cum eo erant, convocaverunt concilium, et omnes seniores filiorum Israël: et miserunt ad carcerem ut adducerentur. 5:21 akousantej de eishlqon upo ton orqron eij to ieron kai edidaskon paragenomenoj de o arxiereuj kai oi sun autw sunekalesan to sunedrion kai pasan thn gerousian twn uiwn israhl kai apesteilan eij to desmwthrion axqhnai autouj 5:21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
5:22 Cum autem venissent ministri, et aperto carcere non invenissent illos, reversi nuntiaverunt, 5:22 oi de uphretai paragenomenoi oux euron autouj en th fulakh anastreyantej de aphggeilan 5:22 But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,
5:23 dicentes: Carcerem quidem invenimus clausum cum omni diligentia, et custodes stantes ante januas: aperientes autem neminem intus invenimus. 5:23 legontej oti to men desmwthrion euromen kekleismenon en pash asfaleia kai touj fulakaj ecw estwtaj pro twn qurwn anoicantej de esw oudena euromen 5:23 Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
5:24 Ut autem audierunt hos sermones magistratus templi et principes sacerdotum, ambigebant de illis quidnam fieret. 5:24 wj de hkousan touj logouj toutouj o te iereuj kai o strathgoj tou ierou kai oi arxiereij dihporoun peri autwn ti an genoito touto 5:24 Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
5:25 Adveniens autem quidam, nuntiavit eis: Quia ecce viri quos posuistis in carcerem, sunt in templo, stantes et docentes populum. 5:25 paragenomenoj de tij aphggeilen autoij legwn oti idou oi andrej ouj eqesqe en th fulakh eisin en tw ierw estwtej kai didaskontej ton laon 5:25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
5:26 Tunc abiit magistratus cum ministris, et adduxit illos sine vi: timebant enim populum ne lapidarentur. 5:26 tote apelqwn o strathgoj sun toij uphretaij hgagen autouj ou meta biaj efobounto gar ton laon ina mh liqasqwsin 5:26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
5:27 Et cum adduxissent illos, statuerunt in concilio: et interrogavit eos princeps sacerdotum, 5:27 agagontej de autouj esthsan en tw sunedriw kai ephrwthsen autouj o arxiereuj 5:27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
5:28 dicens: Præcipiendo præcepimus vobis ne doceretis in nomine isto, et ecce replestis Jerusalem doctrina vestra: et vultis inducere super nos sanguinem hominis istius. 5:28 legwn ou paraggelia parhggeilamen umin mh didaskein epi tw onomati toutw kai idou peplhrwkate thn ierousalhm thj didaxhj umwn kai boulesqe epagagein ef hmaj to aima tou anqrwpou toutou 5:28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
5:29 Respondens autem Petrus et Apostoli, dixerunt: Obedire oportet Deo magis quam hominibus. 5:29 apokriqeij de o petroj kai oi apostoloi eipon peiqarxein dei qew mallon h anqrwpoij 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Acts 5:30 Deus patrum nostrorum suscitavit Jesum, quem vos interemistis, suspendentes in ligno. Acts 5:30 o qeoj twn paterwn hmwn hgeiren ihsoun on umeij diexeirisasqe kremasantej epi culou Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
5:31 Hunc principem et salvatorem Deus exaltavit dextera sua ad dandam pœnitentiam Israëli, et remissionem peccatorum: 5:31 touton o qeoj arxhgon kai swthra uywsen th decia autou dounai metanoian tw israhl kai afesin amartiwn 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
5:32 et nos sumus testes horum verborum, et Spiritus Sanctus, quem dedit Deus omnibus obedientibus sibi. 5:32 kai hmeij esmen autou marturej twn rhmatwn toutwn kai to pneuma de to agion o edwken o qeoj toij peiqarxousin autw 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
5:33 Hæc cum audissent, dissecabantur, et cogitabant interficere illos. 5:33 oi de akousantej dieprionto kai ebouleuonto anelein autouj 5:33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
5:34 Surgens autem quidam in concilio pharisæus, nomine Gamaliel, legis doctor, honorabilis universæ plebi, jussit foras ad breve homines fieri, 5:34 anastaj de tij en tw sunedriw farisaioj onomati gamalihl nomodidaskaloj timioj panti tw law ekeleusen ecw braxu ti touj apostolouj poihsai 5:34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
5:35 dixitque ad illos: Viri Israëlitæ, attendite vobis super hominibus istis quid acturi sitis. 5:35 eipen te proj autouj andrej israhlitai prosexete eautoij epi toij anqrwpoij toutoij ti mellete prassein 5:35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

5:37 Post hunc extitit Judas Galilæus in diebus professionis, et avertit populum post se: et ipse periit, et omnes quotquot consenserunt ei, dispersi sunt. 5:37 meta touton anesth ioudaj o galilaioj en taij hmeraij thj apografhj kai apesthsen laon ikanon opisw autou kakeinoj apwleto kai pantej osoi epeiqonto autw dieskorpisqhsan 5:37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
5:38 Et nunc itaque dico vobis, discedite ab hominibus istis, et sinite illos: quoniam si est ex hominibus consilium hoc aut opus, dissolvetur: 5:38 kai ta nun legw umin aposthte apo twn anqrwpwn toutwn kai easate autouj oti ean h ec anqrwpwn h boulh auth h to ergon touto kataluqhsetai 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
5:39 si vero ex Deo est, non poteritis dissolvere illud, ne forte et Deo repugnare inveniamini. 5:39 ei de ek qeou estin ou dunasqe katalusai auto mhpote kai qeomaxoi eureqhte 5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
Acts 5:40 Consenserunt autem illi. Et convocantes Apostolos, cæsis denuntiaverunt ne omnino loquerentur in nomine Jesu, et dimiserunt eos. 5:42 Omni autem die non cessabant in templo et circa domos, docentes et evangelizantes Christum Jesum. 5:42 pasan te hmeran en tw ierw kai kat oikon ouk epauonto didaskontej kai euaggelizomenoi ihsoun ton xriston 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
