Mark 11:1 Et cum appropinquarent Jerosolymæ et Bethaniæ ad montem Olivarum, mittit duos ex discipulis suis, Mark 11:1 kai ote eggizousin eij ierousalhm eij bhqfagh kai bhqanian proj to oroj twn elaiwn apostellei duo twn maqhtwn autou Mark 11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
11:2 et ait illis: Ite in castellum, quod contra vos est, et statim introëuntes illuc, invenietis pullum ligatum, super quem nemo adhuc hominum sedit: solvite illum, et adducite. 11:2 kai legei autoij upagete eij thn kwmhn thn katenanti umwn kai euqewj eisporeuomenoi eij authn eurhsete pwlon dedemenon ef on oudeij anqrwpwn kekaqiken lusantej auton agagete 11:2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
11:3 Et si quis vobis dixerit: Quid facitis? dicite, quia Domino necessarius est: et continuo illum dimittet huc. 11:3 kai ean tij umin eiph ti poieite touto eipate oti o kurioj autou xreian exei kai euqewj auton apostelei wde 11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
11:4 Et abeuntes invenerunt pullum ligatum ante januam foris in bivio: et solvunt eum 11:4 aphlqon de kai euron ton pwlon dedemenon proj thn quran ecw epi tou amfodou kai luousin auton 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
11:5 Et quidam de illic stantibus dicebant illis: Quid facitis solventes pullum? 11:5 kai tinej twn ekei esthkotwn elegon autoij ti poieite luontej ton pwlon 11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
11:6 Qui dixerunt eis sicut præceperat illis Jesus, et dimiserunt eis. 11:6 oi de eipon autoij kaqwj eneteilato o ihsouj kai afhkan autouj 11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
11:7 Et duxerunt pullum ad Jesum: et imponunt illi vestimenta sua, et sedit super eum. 11:7 kai hgagon ton pwlon proj ton ihsoun kai epebalon autw ta imatia autwn kai ekaqisen ep autw 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
11:8 Multi autem vestimenta sua straverunt in via: alii autem frondes cædebant de arboribus, et sternebant in via. 11:8 polloi de ta imatia autwn estrwsan eij thn odon alloi de stoibadaj ekopton ek twn dendrwn kai estrwnnuon eij thn odon 11:8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
11:9 Et qui præibant, et qui sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes: Hosanna: benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini: 11:9 kai oi proagontej kai oi akolouqountej ekrazon legontej wsanna euloghmenoj o erxomenoj en onomati kuriou 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
Mark 11:10 benedictum quod venit regnum patris nostri David: hosanna in excelsis. Mark 11:10 euloghmenh h erxomenh basileia en onomati kuriou tou patroj hmwn dabid wsanna en toij uyistoij Mark 11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11:11 Et introivit Jerosolymam in templum: et circumspectis omnibus, cum jam vespera esset hora, exiit in Bethaniam cum duodecim. 11:11 kai eishlqen eij ierosoluma o ihsouj kai eij to ieron kai peribleyamenoj panta oyiaj hdh oushj thj wraj echlqen eij bhqanian meta twn dwdeka 11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
11:12 Et alia die cum exirent a Bethania, esuriit. 11:12 kai th epaurion ecelqontwn autwn apo bhqaniaj epeinasen 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
11:13 Cumque vidisset a longe ficum habentem folia, venit si quid forte inveniret in ea: et cum venisset ad eam, nihil invenit præter folia: non enim erat tempus ficorum. 11:13 kai idwn sukhn makroqen exousan fulla hlqen ei ara eurhsei ti en auth kai elqwn ep authn ouden euren ei mh fulla ou gar hn kairoj sukwn 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14 Et respondens dixit ei: Jam non amplius in æternum ex te fructum quisquam manducet. Et audiebant discipuli ejus. 11:14 kai apokriqeij o ihsouj eipen auth mhketi ek sou eij ton aiwna mhdeij karpon fagoi kai hkouon oi maqhtai autou 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
11:15 Et veniunt in Jerosolymam. Et cum introisset in templum, cœpit ejicere vendentes et ementes in templo: et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit: 11:15 kai erxontai eij ierosoluma kai eiselqwn o ihsouj eij to ieron hrcato ekballein touj pwlountaj kai agorazontaj en tw ierw kai taj trapezaj twn kollubistwn kai taj kaqedraj twn pwlountwn taj peristeraj katestreyen 11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
11:16 et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum: 11:16 kai ouk hfien ina tij dienegkh skeuoj dia tou ierou 11:16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
11:17 et docebat, dicens eis: Nonne scriptum est: Quia domus mea, domus orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus? vos autem fecistis eam speluncam latronum. 11:17 kai edidasken legwn autoij ou gegraptai oti o oikoj mou oikoj proseuxhj klhqhsetai pasin toij eqnesin umeij de epoihsate auton sphlaion lhstwn 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
11:18 Quo audito principes sacerdotum et scribæ, quærebant quomodo eum perderent: timebant enim eum, quoniam universa turba admirabatur super doctrina ejus. 11:18 kai hkousan oi grammateij kai oi arxiereij kai ezhtoun pwj auton apolesousin efobounto gar auton oti paj o oxloj eceplhsseto epi th didaxh autou 11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
11:19 Et cum vespera facta esset, egrediebatur de civitate. 11:19 kai ote oye egeneto eceporeueto ecw thj polewj 11:19 And when even was come, he went out of the city.
Mark 11:20 Et cum mane transirent, viderunt ficum aridam factam a radicibus. Mark 11:20 kai prwi paraporeuomenoi eidon thn sukhn echrammenhn ek rizwn Mark 11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21 Et recordatus Petrus, dixit ei: Rabbi, ecce ficus, cui maledixisti, aruit. 11:21 kai anamnhsqeij o petroj legei autw rabbi ide h sukh hn kathrasw echrantai 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
11:22 Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Habete fidem Dei. 11:22 kai apokriqeij ihsouj legei autoij exete pistin qeou 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
11:23 Amen dico vobis, quia quicumque dixerit huic monti: Tollere, et mittere in mare, et non hæsitaverit in corde suo, sed crediderit, quia quodcumque dixerit fiat, fiat ei. 11:23 amhn gar legw umin oti oj an eiph tw orei toutw arqhti kai blhqhti eij thn qalassan kai mh diakriqh en th kardia autou alla pisteush oti a legei ginetai estai autw o ean eiph 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
11:24 Propterea dico vobis, omnia quæcumque orantes petitis, credite quia accipietis, et evenient vobis. 11:24 dia touto legw umin panta osa an proseuxomenoi aiteisqe pisteuete oti lambanete kai estai umin 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
11:25 Et cum stabitis ad orandum, dimittite si quis habetis adversus aliquem: ut et Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittat vobis peccata vestra. 11:25 kai otan sthkhte proseuxomenoi afiete ei ti exete kata tinoj ina kai o pathr umwn o en toij ouranoij afh umin ta paraptwmata umwn 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
11:26 Quod si vos non dimiseritis: nec Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittet vobis peccata vestra. 11:26 ei de umeij ouk afiete oude o pathr umwn o en toij ouranoij afhsei ta paraptwmata umwn 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
11:27 Et veniunt rursus Jerosolymam. Et cum ambularet in templo, accedunt ad eum summi sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores: 11:27 kai erxontai palin eij ierosoluma kai en tw ierw peripatountoj autou erxontai proj auton oi arxiereij kai oi grammateij kai oi presbuteroi 11:27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28 et dicunt ei: In qua potestate hæc facis? et quis dedit tibi hanc potestatem ut ista facias? 11:28 kai legousin autw en poia ecousia tauta poieij kai tij soi thn ecousian tauthn edwken ina tauta poihj 11:28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
11:29 Jesus autem respondens, ait illis: Interrogabo vos et ego unum verbum, et respondete mihi: et dicam vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam. 11:29 o de ihsouj apokriqeij eipen autoij eperwthsw umaj kagw ena logon kai apokriqhte moi kai erw umin en poia ecousia tauta poiw 11:29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
Mark 11:30 Baptismus Joannis, de cælo erat, an ex hominibus? Respondete mihi. Mark 11:30 to baptisma iwannou ec ouranou hn h ec anqrwpwn apokriqhte moi Mark 11:30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
11:31 At illi cogitabant secum, dicentes: Si dixerimus: De cælo, dicet: Quare non credidistis ei? 11:31 kai elogizonto proj eautouj legontej ean eipwmen ec ouranou erei dia ti oun ouk episteusate autw 11:31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
11:32 Si dixerimus: Ex hominibus, timemus populum: omnes enim habebant Joannem quia vere propheta esset. 11:32 all ean eipwmen ec anqrwpwn efobounto ton laon apantej gar eixon ton iwannhn oti ontwj profhthj hn 11:32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
11:33 Et respondentes dicunt Jesu: Nescimus. Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Neque ego dico vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam. 11:33 kai apokriqentej legousin tw ihsou ouk oidamen kai o ihsouj apokriqeij legei autoij oude egw legw umin en poia ecousia tauta poiw 11:33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
