Mark 11:1 Et cum appropinquarent Jerosolymæ et Bethaniæ ad montem Olivarum, mittit duos ex discipulis suis, | Mark 11:1 καὶ ὅτε ἐγγίζουσιν εἰς ἰερουσαλήμ εἰς βηθφαγὴ καὶ βηθανίαν πρὸς τὸ ὄρος τῶν ἐλαιῶν ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ | Mark 11:1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, |
| 11:2 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν καὶ εὐθὲως εἰσπορευόμενοι εἰς αὐτὴν εὑρήσετε πῶλον δεδεμένον ἐφ᾽ ὃν οὐδεὶς ἀνθρώπων κεκάθικεν λύσαντες αὐτὸν ἀγάγετε | 11:2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. |
| 11:3 καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ τί ποιεῖτε τοῦτο εἴπατε ὅτι ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχει καὶ εὐθὲως αὐτὸν ἀποστελεῖ ὧδε | 11:3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. |
11:4 Et abeuntes invenerunt pullum ligatum ante januam foris in bivio: et solvunt eum | 11:4 ἀπῆλθον δὲ καὶ εὗρον τὸν πῶλον δεδεμένον πρὸς τὴν θύραν ἔξω ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου καὶ λύουσιν αὐτόν | 11:4 And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. |
| 11:5 καί τινες τῶν ἐκεῖ ἑστηκότων ἔλεγον αὐτοῖς τί ποιεῖτε λύοντες τὸν πῶλον | 11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? |
| 11:6 οἱ δὲ εἶπον αὐτοῖς καθὼς ἐνετείλατο ὁ ἰησοῦς καὶ ἀφῆκαν αὐτούς | 11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. |
| 11:7 καὶ ἤγαγον τὸν πῶλον πρὸς τὸν ἰησοῦν καὶ ἐπέβαλον αὐτῷ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ | 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. |
| 11:8 πολλοὶ δὲ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν ἄλλοι δὲ στοιβάδας ἔκοπτον ἐκ τῶν δένδρων, καὶ ἐστρώννυον εἰς τὴν ὁδόν | 11:8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. |
11:9 Et qui præibant, et qui sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes: Hosanna: benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini: | 11:9 καὶ οἱ προάγοντες καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον λέγοντες, ησαννά εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου | 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: |
Mark 11:10 benedictum quod venit regnum patris nostri David: hosanna in excelsis. | Mark 11:10 εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη βασιλεία ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου, τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν δαβίδ ησαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις | Mark 11:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest. |
| 11:11 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα ὁ ἰησοῦς, καὶ εἰς τὸ ἱερόν καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντα ὀψίας ἤδη οὔσης τῆς ὥρας ἐξῆλθεν εἰς βηθανίαν μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα | 11:11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve. |
11:12 Et alia die cum exirent a Bethania, esuriit. | 11:12 καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν | 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: |
| 11:13 καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν μακρόθεν ἔχουσαν φύλλα ἦλθεν εἰ ἄρα εὑρήσει τι ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν οὐδὲν εὗρεν εἰ μὴ φύλλα οὐ γὰρ ἦν καιρὸς σύκων | 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. |
| 11:14 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῇ μηκέτι ἐκ σοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ | 11:14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. |
11:15 Et veniunt in Jerosolymam. Et cum introisset in templum, cœpit ejicere vendentes et ementes in templo: et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit: | 11:15 καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ εἰσελθὼν ὁ ἰησοῦς εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστερὰς κατέστρεψεν | 11:15 And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; |
11:16 et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum: | 11:16 καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν ἵνα τις διενέγκῃ σκεῦος διὰ τοῦ ἱεροῦ | 11:16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. |
11:17 et docebat, dicens eis: Nonne scriptum est: Quia domus mea, domus orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus? vos autem fecistis eam speluncam latronum. | 11:17 καὶ ἐδίδασκεν λέγων αὐτοῖς, οὐ γέγραπται ὅτι ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ὑμεῖς δὲ εποιήσατε αὐτὸν σπήλαιον λῃστῶν | 11:17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. |
11:18 Quo audito principes sacerdotum et scribæ, quærebant quomodo eum perderent: timebant enim eum, quoniam universa turba admirabatur super doctrina ejus. | 11:18 καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ ἐζήτουν πῶς αὐτὸν ἀπολέσουσιν ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ αὐτόν ὅτι πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ἐξεπλήσσετο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ | 11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. |
| 11:19 καὶ ὅτε ὀψὲ ἐγένετο ἐξεπορεύετο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως | 11:19 And when even was come, he went out of the city. |
Mark 11:20 Et cum mane transirent, viderunt ficum aridam factam a radicibus. | Mark 11:20 καὶ πρωῒ παραπορευόμενοι εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν | Mark 11:20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. |
| 11:21 καὶ ἀναμνησθεὶς ὁ πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ ῥαββί ἴδε ἡ συκῆ ἣν κατηράσω ἐξήρανται | 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. |
11:22 Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Habete fidem Dei. | 11:22 καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς ἕχετε πίστιν θεοῦ | 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. |
11:23 Amen dico vobis, quia quicumque dixerit huic monti: Tollere, et mittere in mare, et non hæsitaverit in corde suo, sed crediderit, quia quodcumque dixerit fiat, fiat ei. | 11:23 ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ μὴ διακριθῇ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ πιστεύσῃ ὅτι ἃ λέγεῖ γίνεται ἔσται αὐτῷ ὃ ἐὰν εἴπῃ | 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. |
11:24 Propterea dico vobis, omnia quæcumque orantes petitis, credite quia accipietis, et evenient vobis. | 11:24 διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν πάντα ὅσα ἄν προσεύχομενοι αἰτεῖσθε πιστεύετε ὅτι λαμβάνετέ καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν | 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. |
| 11:25 καὶ ὅταν στήκητε προσευχόμενοι ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν | 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. |
| 11:26 εἰ δὲ ὑμεῖς οὖκ ἀφίετε, οὐδε ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφησεὶ τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν | 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. |
11:27 Et veniunt rursus Jerosolymam. Et cum ambularet in templo, accedunt ad eum summi sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores: | 11:27 καὶ ἔρχονται πάλιν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ περιπατοῦντος αὐτοῦ ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι | 11:27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, |
| 11:28 καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς καὶ τίς σοι τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἔδωκεν ἵνα ταῦτα ποιῇς | 11:28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? |
| 11:29 ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἐπερωτήσω ὑμᾶς κἀγὼ ἕνα λόγον καὶ ἀποκρίθητέ μοι καὶ ἐρῶ ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ | 11:29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. |
Mark 11:30 Baptismus Joannis, de cælo erat, an ex hominibus? Respondete mihi. | Mark 11:30 τὸ βάπτισμα ἰωάννου ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἦν ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων ἀποκρίθητέ μοι | Mark 11:30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. |
11:31 At illi cogitabant secum, dicentes: Si dixerimus: De cælo, dicet: Quare non credidistis ei? | 11:31 καὶ ἐλογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες ἐὰν εἴπωμεν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐρεῖ διὰτί οὖν οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ | 11:31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? |
11:32 Si dixerimus: Ex hominibus, timemus populum: omnes enim habebant Joannem quia vere propheta esset. | 11:32 ἀλλ᾽ ἐὰν εἴπωμεν ἐξ ἀνθρώπων ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν λαόν ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν ἰωάννην ὅτι ὄντως προφήτης ἦν | 11:32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. |
11:33 Et respondentes dicunt Jesu: Nescimus. Et respondens Jesus ait illis: Neque ego dico vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam. | 11:33 καὶ ἀποκριθέντες λέγουσιν τῷ ἰησοῦ οὐκ οἴδαμεν καὶ ὁ ἰησοῦς ἀποκριθεὶς λέγει αὐτοῖς οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ | 11:33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things. |
