John 14:1 Non turbetur cor vestrum. Creditis in Deum, et in me credite. John 14:1 mh tarassesqw umwn h kardia pisteuete eij ton qeon kai eij eme pisteuete John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
14:2 In domo Patris mei mansiones multæ sunt; si quominus dixissem vobis: quia vado parare vobis locum. 14:2 en th oikia tou patroj mou monai pollai eisin ei de mh eipon an umin poreuomai etoimasai topon umin 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
14:3 Et si abiero, et præparavero vobis locum, iterum venio, et accipiam vos ad meipsum: ut ubi sum ego, et vos sitis. 14:3 kai ean poreuqw kai etoimasw umin topon palin erxomai kai paralhyomai umaj proj emauton ina opou eimi egw kai umeij hte 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
14:4 Et quo ego vado scitis, et viam scitis. 14:4 kai opou egw upagw oidate kai thn odon oidate 14:4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
14:5 Dicit ei Thomas: Domine, nescimus quo vadis: et quomodo possumus viam scire? 14:5 legei autw qwmaj kurie ouk oidamen pou upageij kai pwj dunameqa thn odon eidenai 14:5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
14:6 Dicit ei Jesus: Ego sum via, et veritas, et vita. Nemo venit ad Patrem, nisi per me. 14:6 legei autw o ihsouj egw eimi h odoj kai h alhqeia kai h zwh oudeij erxetai proj ton patera ei mh di emou 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
14:7 Si cognovissetis me, et Patrem meum utique cognovissetis: et amodo cognoscetis eum, et vidistis eum. 14:7 ei egnwkeite me kai ton patera mou egnwkeite an kai ap arti ginwskete auton kai ewrakate auton 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
14:8 Dicit ei Philippus: Domine, ostende nobis Patrem, et sufficit nobis. 14:8 legei autw filippoj kurie deicon hmin ton patera kai arkei hmin 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
14:9 Dicit ei Jesus: Tanto tempore vobiscum sum, et non cognovistis me? Philippe, qui videt me, videt et Patrem. Quomodo tu dicis: Ostende nobis Patrem? 14:9 legei autw o ihsouj tosouton xronon meq umwn eimi kai ouk egnwkaj me filippe o ewrakwj eme ewraken ton patera kai pwj su legeij deicon hmin ton patera 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 14:10 Non creditis quia ego in Patre, et Pater in me est? Verba quæ ego loquor vobis, a meipso non loquor. Pater autem in me manens, ipse fecit opera. John 14:10 ou pisteueij oti egw en tw patri kai o pathr en emoi estin ta rhmata a egw lalw umin ap emautou ou lalw o de pathr o en emoi menwn autoj poiei ta erga John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
14:11 Non creditis quia ego in Patre, et Pater in me est? 14:11 pisteuete moi oti egw en tw patri kai o pathr en emoi ei de mh dia ta erga auta pisteuete moi 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
14:12 alioquin propter opera ipsa credite. Amen, amen dico vobis, qui credit in me, opera quæ ego facio, et ipse faciet, et majora horum faciet: quia ego ad Patrem vado. 14:12 amhn amhn legw umin o pisteuwn eij eme ta erga a egw poiw kakeinoj poihsei kai meizona toutwn poihsei oti egw proj ton patera mou poreuomai 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
14:13 Et quodcumque petieritis Patrem in nomine meo, hoc faciam: ut glorificetur Pater in Filio. 14:13 kai o ti an aithshte en tw onomati mou touto poihsw ina docasqh o pathr en tw uiw 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14:14 Si quid petieritis me in nomine meo, hoc faciam. 14:14 ean ti aithshte en tw onomati mou egw poihsw 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
14:15 Si diligitis me, mandata mea servate: 14:15 ean agapate me taj entolaj taj emaj thrhsate 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
14:16 et ego rogabo Patrem, et alium Paraclitum dabit vobis, ut maneat vobiscum in æternum, 14:16 kai egw erwthsw ton patera kai allon paraklhton dwsei umin ina menh meq umwn eij ton aiwna 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
14:17 Spiritum veritatis, quem mundus non potest accipere, quia non videt eum, nec scit eum: vos autem cognoscetis eum, quia apud vos manebit, et in vobis erit. 14:17 to pneuma thj alhqeiaj o o kosmoj ou dunatai labein oti ou qewrei auto oude ginwskei auto umeij de ginwskete auto oti par umin menei kai en umin estai 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
14:18 Non relinquam vos orphanos: veniam ad vos. 14:18 ouk afhsw umaj orfanouj erxomai proj umaj 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
14:19 Adhuc modicum, et mundus me jam non videt. Vos autem videtis me: quia ego vivo, et vos vivetis. 14:19 eti mikron kai o kosmoj me ouk eti qewrei umeij de qewreite me oti egw zw kai umeij zhsesqe 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
John 14:20 In illo die vos cognoscetis quia ego sum in Patre meo, et vos in me, et ego in vobis. John 14:20 en ekeinh th hmera gnwsesqe umeij oti egw en tw patri mou kai umeij en emoi kagw en umin John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
14:21 Qui habet mandata mea, et servat ea: ille est qui diligit me. Qui autem diligit me, diligetur a Patre meo: et ego diligam eum, et manifestabo ei meipsum. 14:21 o exwn taj entolaj mou kai thrwn autaj ekeinoj estin o agapwn me o de agapwn me agaphqhsetai upo tou patroj mou kai egw agaphsw auton kai emfanisw autw emauton 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
14:22 Dicit ei Judas, non ille Iscariotes: Domine, quid factum est, quia manifestaturus es nobis teipsum, et non mundo? 14:22 legei autw ioudaj oux o iskariwthj kurie ti gegonen oti hmin melleij emfanizein seauton kai ouxi tw kosmw 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
14:23 Respondit Jesus, et dixit ei: Si quis diligit me, sermonem meum servabit, et Pater meus diliget eum, et ad eum veniemus, et mansionem apud eum faciemus; 14:23 apekriqh o ihsouj kai eipen autw ean tij agapa me ton logon mou thrhsei kai o pathr mou agaphsei auton kai proj auton eleusomeqa kai monhn par autw poihsomen 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
14:24 qui non diligit me, sermones meos non servat. Et sermonem, quem audistis, non est meus: sed ejus qui misit me, Patris. 14:24 o mh agapwn me touj logouj mou ou threi kai o logoj on akouete ouk estin emoj alla tou pemyantoj me patroj 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
14:25 Hæc locutus sum vobis apud vos manens. 14:25 tauta lelalhka umin par umin menwn 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
14:26 Paraclitus autem Spiritus Sanctus, quem mittet Pater in nomine meo, ille vos docebit omnia, et suggeret vobis omnia quæcumque dixero vobis. 14:26 o de paraklhtoj to pneuma to agion o pemyei o pathr en tw onomati mou ekeinoj umaj didacei panta kai upomnhsei umaj panta a eipon umin 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
14:27 Pacem relinquo vobis, pacem meam do vobis: non quomodo mundus dat, ego do vobis. Non turbetur cor vestrum, neque formidet. 14:27 eirhnhn afihmi umin eirhnhn thn emhn didwmi umin ou kaqwj o kosmoj didwsin egw didwmi umin mh tarassesqw umwn h kardia mhde deiliatw 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
14:28 Audistis quia ego dixi vobis: Vado, et venio ad vos. Si diligeretis me, gauderetis utique, quia vado ad Patrem: quia Pater major me est. 14:28 hkousate oti egw eipon umin upagw kai erxomai proj umaj ei hgapate me exarhte an oti eipon poreuomai proj ton patera oti o pathr mou meizwn mou estin 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
14:29 Et nunc dixi vobis priusquam fiat: ut cum factum fuerit, credatis. 14:29 kai nun eirhka umin prin genesqai ina otan genhtai pisteushte 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
John 14:30 Jam non multa loquar vobiscum: venit enim princeps mundi hujus, et in me non habet quidquam. John 14:30 ouk eti polla lalhsw meq umwn erxetai gar o tou kosmou toutou arxwn kai en emoi ouk exei ouden John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
14:31 Sed ut cognoscat mundus quia diligo Patrem, et sicut mandatum dedit mihi Pater, sic facio. Surgite, eamus hinc. 14:31 all ina gnw o kosmoj oti agapw ton patera kai kaqwj eneteilato moi o pathr outwj poiw egeiresqe agwmen enteuqen 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
