John 17:1 Hæc locutus est Jesus: et sublevatis oculis in cælum, dixit: Pater, venit hora: clarifica Filium tuum, ut Filius tuus clarificet te: John 17:1 tauta elalhsen o ihsouj kai ephren touj ofqalmouj autou eij ton ouranon kai eipen pater elhluqen h wra docason sou ton uion ina kai o uioj sou docash se John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
17:2 sicut dedisti ei potestatem omnis carnis, ut omne, quod dedisti ei, det eis vitam æternam. 17:2 kaqwj edwkaj autw ecousian pashj sarkoj ina pan o dedwkaj autw dwsh autoij zwhn aiwnion 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
17:3 Hæc est autem vita æterna: ut cognoscant te, solum Deum verum, et quem misisti Jesum Christum. 17:3 auth de estin h aiwnioj zwh ina ginwskwsin se ton monon alhqinon qeon kai on apesteilaj ihsoun xriston 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
17:4 Ego te clarificavi super terram: opus consummavi, quod dedisti mihi ut faciam: 17:4 egw se edocasa epi thj ghj to ergon eteleiwsa o dedwkaj moi ina poihsw 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
17:5 et nunc clarifica me tu, Pater, apud temetipsum, claritate quam habui, priusquam mundus esset, apud te. 17:5 kai nun docason me su pater para seautw th doch h eixon pro tou ton kosmon einai para soi 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
17:6 Manifestavi nomen tuum hominibus, quos dedisti mihi de mundo: tui erant, et mihi eos dedisti: et sermonem tuum servaverunt. 17:6 efanerwsa sou to onoma toij anqrwpoij ouj dedwkaj moi ek tou kosmou soi hsan kai emoi autouj dedwkaj kai ton logon sou tethrhkasin 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
17:7 Nunc cognoverunt quia omnia quæ dedisti mihi, abs te sunt: 17:7 nun egnwkan oti panta osa dedwkaj moi para sou estin 17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
17:8 quia verba quæ dedisti mihi, dedi eis: et ipsi acceperunt, et cognoverunt vere quia a te exivi, et crediderunt quia tu me misisti. 17:8 oti ta rhmata a dedwkaj moi dedwka autoij kai autoi elabon kai egnwsan alhqwj oti para sou echlqon kai episteusan oti su me apesteilaj 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
17:9 Ego pro eis rogo; non pro mundo rogo, sed pro his quos dedisti mihi: quia tui sunt: 17:9 egw peri autwn erwtw ou peri tou kosmou erwtw alla peri wn dedwkaj moi oti soi eisin 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
John 17:10 et mea omnia tua sunt, et tua mea sunt: et clarificatus sum in eis. John 17:10 kai ta ema panta sa estin kai ta sa ema kai dedocasmai en autoij John 17:10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
17:11 Et jam non sum in mundo, et hi in mundo sunt, et ego ad te venio. Pater sancte, serva eos in nomine tuo, quos dedisti mihi: ut sint unum, sicut et nos. 17:11 kai ouk eti eimi en tw kosmw kai outoi en tw kosmw eisin kai egw proj se erxomai pater agie thrhson autouj en tw onomati sou ouj dedwkaj moi ina wsin en kaqwj hmeij 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
17:12 Cum essem cum eis, ego servabam eos in nomine tuo. Quos dedisti mihi, custodivi: et nemo ex eis periit, nisi filius perditionis, ut Scriptura impleatur. 17:12 ote hmhn met autwn en tw kosmw egw ethroun autouj en tw onomati sou ouj dedwkaj moi efulaca kai oudeij ec autwn apwleto ei mh o uioj thj apwleiaj ina h grafh plhrwqh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
17:13 Nunc autem ad te venio: et hæc loquor in mundo, ut habeant gaudium meum impletum in semetipsis. 17:13 nun de proj se erxomai kai tauta lalw en tw kosmw ina exwsin thn xaran thn emhn peplhrwmenhn en autoij 17:13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
17:14 Ego dedi eis sermonem tuum, et mundus eos odio habuit, quia non sunt de mundo, sicut et ego non sum de mundo. 17:14 egw dedwka autoij ton logon sou kai o kosmoj emishsen autouj oti ouk eisin ek tou kosmou kaqwj egw ouk eimi ek tou kosmou 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17:15 Non rogo ut tollas eos de mundo, sed ut serves eos a malo. 17:15 ouk erwtw ina arhj autouj ek tou kosmou all ina thrhshj autouj ek tou ponhrou 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
17:16 De mundo non sunt, sicut et ego non sum de mundo. 17:16 ek tou kosmou ouk eisin kaqwj egw ek tou kosmou ouk eimi 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17:17 Sanctifica eos in veritate. Sermo tuus veritas est. 17:17 agiason autouj en th alhqeia sou o logoj o soj alhqeia estin 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
17:18 Sicut tu me misisti in mundum, et ego misi eos in mundum: 17:18 kaqwj eme apesteilaj eij ton kosmon kagw apesteila autouj eij ton kosmon 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
17:19 et pro eis ego sanctificabo meipsum: ut sint et ipsi sanctificati in veritate. 17:19 kai uper autwn egw agiazw emauton ina kai autoi wsin hgiasmenoi en alhqeia 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
John 17:20 Non pro eis rogo tantum, sed et pro eis qui credituri sunt per verbum eorum in me: John 17:20 ou peri toutwn de erwtw monon alla kai peri twn pisteusontwn dia tou logou autwn eij eme John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
17:21 ut omnes unum sint, sicut tu Pater in me, et ego in te, ut et ipsi in nobis unum sint: ut credat mundus, quia tu me misisti. 17:21 ina pantej en wsin kaqwj su pater en emoi kagw en soi ina kai autoi en hmin en wsin ina o kosmoj pisteush oti su me apesteilaj 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
17:22 Et ego claritatem, quam dedisti mihi, dedi eis: ut sint unum, sicut et nos unum sumus. 17:22 kai egw thn docan hn dedwkaj moi dedwka autoij ina wsin en kaqwj hmeij en esmen 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
17:23 Ego in eis, et tu in me: ut sint consummati in unum: et cognoscat mundus quia tu me misisti, et dilexisti eos, sicut et me dilexisti. 17:23 egw en autoij kai su en emoi ina wsin teteleiwmenoi eij en kai ina ginwskh o kosmoj oti su me apesteilaj kai hgaphsaj autouj kaqwj eme hgaphsaj 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
17:24 Pater, quos dedisti mihi, volo ut ubi sum ego, et illi sint mecum: ut videant claritatem meam, quam dedisti mihi: quia dilexisti me ante constitutionem mundi. 17:24 pater ouj dedwkaj moi qelw ina opou eimi egw kakeinoi wsin met emou ina qewrwsin thn docan thn emhn hn edwkaj moi oti hgaphsaj me pro katabolhj kosmou 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
17:25 Pater juste, mundus te non cognovit, ego autem te cognovi: et hi cognoverunt, quia tu me misisti. 17:25 pater dikaie kai o kosmoj se ouk egnw egw de se egnwn kai outoi egnwsan oti su me apesteilaj 17:25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
17:26 Et notum feci eis nomen tuum, et notum faciam: ut dilectio, qua dilexisti me, in ipsis sit, et ego in ipsis. 17:26 kai egnwrisa autoij to onoma sou kai gnwrisw ina h agaph hn hgaphsaj me en autoij h kagw en autoij 17:26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
