21:2 hsan omou simwn petroj kai qwmaj o legomenoj didumoj kai naqanahl o apo kana thj galilaiaj kai oi tou zebedaiou kai alloi ek twn maqhtwn autou duo 21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
21:3 Dicit eis Simon Petrus: Vado piscari. Dicunt ei: Venimus et nos tecum. Et exierunt, et ascenderunt in navim: et illa nocte nihil prendiderunt. 21:3 legei autoij simwn petroj upagw alieuein legousin autw erxomeqa kai hmeij sun soi echlqon kai anebhsan eij to ploion euquj kai en ekeinh th nukti epiasan ouden 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
21:4 prwiaj de hdh genomenhj esth o ihsouj eij ton aigialon ou mentoi hdeisan oi maqhtai oti ihsouj estin 21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
21:7 legei oun o maqhthj ekeinoj on hgapa o ihsouj tw petrw o kurioj estin simwn oun petroj akousaj oti o kurioj estin ton ependuthn diezwsato hn gar gumnoj kai ebalen eauton eij thn qalassan 21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
21:8 oi de alloi maqhtai tw ploiariw hlqon ou gar hsan makran apo thj ghj all wj apo phxwn diakosiwn surontej to diktuon twn ixquwn 21:8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

21:12 Dicit eis Jesus: Venite, prandete. 21:17 Dicit ei tertio: Simon Joannis, amas me? 21:18 amhn amhn legw soi ote hj newteroj ezwnnuej seauton kai periepateij opou hqelej otan de ghrashj ekteneij taj xeiraj sou kai alloj se zwsei kai oisei opou ou qeleij 21:18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

Et non dixit ei Jesus: Non moritur, sed: Sic eum volo manere donec veniam, quid ad te? 21:23 echlqen oun o logoj outoj eij touj adelfouj oti o maqhthj ekeinoj ouk apoqnhskei kai ouk eipen autw o ihsouj oti ouk apoqnhskei all ean auton qelw menein ewj erxomai ti proj se 21:23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
21:24 outoj estin o maqhthj o marturwn peri toutwn kai grayaj tauta kai oidamen oti alhqhj estin h marturia autou 21:24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
