Revelation 4:1 Post hæc vidi: et ecce ostium apertum in cælo, et vox prima, quam audivi tamquam tubæ loquentis mecum, dicens: Ascende huc, et ostendam tibi quæ oportet fieri post hæc. Revelation 4:1 meta tauta eidon kai idou qura hnewgmenh en tw ouranw kai h fwnh h prwth hn hkousa wj salpiggoj laloushj met emou legousa anaba wde kai deicw soi a dei genesqai meta tauta Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
4:2 Et statim fui in spiritu: et ecce sedes posita erat in cælo, et supra sedem sedens. 4:2 kai euqewj egenomhn en pneumati kai idou qronoj ekeito en tw ouranw kai epi tou qronou kaqhmenoj 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
4:3 Et qui sedebat similis erat aspectui lapidis jaspidis, et sardinis: et iris erat in circuitu sedis similis visioni smaragdinæ. 4:3 kai o kaqhmenoj hn omoioj orasei liqw iaspidi kai sardinw kai irij kukloqen tou qronou omoia orasei smaragdinw
4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4:4 Et in circuitu sedis sedilia viginti quatuor: et super thronos viginti quatuor seniores sedentes, circumamicti vestimentis albis, et in capitibus eorum coronæ aureæ. 4:4 kai kukloqen tou qronou qronoi eikosi kai tessarej kai epi touj qronouj eidon touj eikosi kai tessaraj presbuterouj kaqhmenouj peribeblhmenouj en imatioij leukoij kai esxon epi taj kefalaj autwn stefanouj xrusouj 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
4:5 Et de throno procedebant fulgura, et voces, et tonitrua: et septem lampades ardentes ante thronum, qui sunt septem spiritus Dei. 4:5 kai ek tou qronou ekporeuontai astrapai kai brontai kai fwnai kai epta lampadej puroj kaiomenai enwpion tou qronou ai eisin ta epta pneumata tou qeou 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
4:6 Et in conspectu sedis tamquam mare vitreum simile crystallo: et in medio sedis, et in circuitu sedis quatuor animalia plena oculis ante et retro. 4:6 kai enwpion tou qronou qalassa ualinh omoia krustallw kai en mesw tou qronou kai kuklw tou qronou tessara zwa gemonta ofqalmwn emprosqen kai opisqen 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
4:7 Et animal primum simile leoni, et secundum animal simile vitulo, et tertium animal habens faciem quasi hominis, et quartum animal simile aquilæ volanti. 4:7 kai to zwon to prwton omoion leonti kai to deuteron zwon omoion mosxw kai to triton zwon exon to proswpon wj anqrwpoj kai to tetarton zwon omoion aetw petwmenw 4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
4:8 Et quatuor animalia, singula eorum habebant alas senas: et in circuitu, et intus plena sunt oculis: et requiem non habebant die ac nocte, dicentia: Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus omnipotens, qui erat, et qui est, et qui venturus est. 4:8 kai tessara zwa en kaq eauto eixon ana pterugaj ec kukloqen kai eswqen gemonta ofqalmwn kai anapausin ouk exousin hmeraj kai nuktoj legonta agioj agioj agioj kurioj o qeoj o pantokratwr o hn kai o wn kai o erxomenoj 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
4:9 Et cum darent illa animalia gloriam, et honorem, et benedictionem sedenti super thronum, viventi in sæcula sæculorum, 4:9 kai otan dwsousin ta zwa docan kai timhn kai euxaristian tw kaqhmenw epi tou qronou tw zwnti eij touj aiwnaj twn aiwnwn 4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
Revelation 4:10 procidebant viginti quatuor seniores ante sedentem in throno, et adorabant viventem in sæcula sæculorum, et mittebant coronas suas ante thronum, dicentes: Revelation 4:10 pesountai oi eikosi kai tessarej presbuteroi enwpion tou kaqhmenou epi tou qronou kai proskunousin tw zwnti eij touj aiwnaj twn aiwnwn kai ballousin touj stefanouj autwn enwpion tou qronou legontej Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
4:11 Dignus es Domine Deus noster accipere gloriam, et honorem, et virtutem: quia tu creasti omnia, et propter voluntatem tuam erant, et creata sunt. 4:11 acioj ei kurie labein thn docan kai thn timhn kai thn dunamin oti su ektisaj ta panta kai dia to qelhma sou eisin kai ektisqhsan 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
