Revelation 12:1 Et signum magnum apparuit in cælo: mulier amicta sole, et luna sub pedibus ejus, et in capite ejus corona stellarum duodecim: Revelation 12:1 kai shmeion mega wfqh en tw ouranw gunh peribeblhmenh ton hlion kai h selhnh upokatw twn podwn authj kai epi thj kefalhj authj stefanoj asterwn dwdeka Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
12:2 et in utero habens, clamabat parturiens, et cruciabatur ut pariat. 12:2 kai en gastri exousa krazei wdinousa kai basanizomenh tekein 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
12:3 Et visum est aliud signum in cælo: et ecce draco magnus rufus habens capita septem, et cornua decem: et in capitibus ejus diademata septem, 12:3 kai wfqh allo shmeion en tw ouranw kai idou drakwn megaj purroj exwn kefalaj epta kai kerata deka kai epi taj kefalaj autou diadhmata epta 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
12:4 et cauda ejus trahebat tertiam partem stellarum cæli, et misit eas in terram: et draco stetit ante mulierem, quæ erat paritura, ut cum peperisset, filium ejus devoraret. 12:4 kai h oura autou surei to triton twn asterwn tou ouranou kai ebalen autouj eij thn ghn kai o drakwn esthken enwpion thj gunaikoj thj melloushj tekein ina otan tekh to teknon authj katafagh 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
12:5 Et peperit filium masculum, qui recturus erat omnes gentes in virga ferrea: et raptus est filius ejus ad Deum, et ad thronum ejus, 12:5 kai eteken uion arrena oj mellei poimainein panta ta eqnh en rabdw sidhra kai hrpasqh to teknon authj proj ton qeon kai ton qronon autou 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
12:6 et mulier fugit in solitudinem ubi habebat locum paratum a Deo, ut ibi pascant eam diebus mille ducentis sexaginta. 12:6 kai h gunh efugen eij thn erhmon opou exei topon htoimasmenon apo tou qeou ina ekei trefwsin authn hmeraj xiliaj diakosiaj echkonta 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
12:7 Et factum est prælium magnum in cælo: Michaël et angeli ejus præliabantur cum dracone, et draco pugnabat, et angeli ejus: 12:7 kai egeneto polemoj en tw ouranw o mixahl kai oi aggeloi autou epolemhsan kata tou drakontoj kai o drakwn epolemhsen kai oi aggeloi autou 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
12:8 et non valuerunt, neque locus inventus est eorum amplius in cælo. 12:8 kai ouk isxusan oute topoj eureqh autwn eti en tw ouranw 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
12:9 Et projectus est draco ille magnus, serpens antiquus, qui vocatur diabolus, et Satanas, qui seducit universum orbem: et projectus est in terram, et angeli ejus cum illo missi sunt. 12:9 kai eblhqh o drakwn o megaj o ofij o arxaioj o kaloumenoj diaboloj kai o satanaj o planwn thn oikoumenhn olhn eblhqh eij thn ghn kai oi aggeloi autou met autou eblhqhsan 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 12:10 Et audivi vocem magnam in cælo dicentem: Nunc facta est salus, et virtus, et regnum Dei nostri, et potestas Christi ejus: quia projectus est accusator fratrum nostrorum, qui accusabat illos ante conspectum Dei nostri die ac nocte. Revelation 12:10 kai hkousa fwnhn megalhn legousan en tw ouranw arti egeneto h swthria kai h dunamij kai h basileia tou qeou hmwn kai h ecousia tou xristou autou oti kateblhqh o kathgoroj twn adelfwn hmwn o kathgorwn autwn enwpion tou qeou hmwn hmeraj kai nuktoj Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
12:11 Et ipsi vicerunt eum propter sanguinem Agni, et propter verbum testimonii sui, et non dilexerunt animas suas usque ad mortem. 12:11 kai autoi enikhsan auton dia to aima tou arniou kai dia ton logon thj marturiaj autwn kai ouk hgaphsan thn yuxhn autwn axri qanatou 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12:12 Propterea lætamini cæli, et qui habitatis in eis. Væ terræ, et mari, quia descendit diabolus ad vos habens iram magnam, sciens quod modicum tempus habet. 12:12 dia touto eufrainesqe oi ouranoi kai oi en autoij skhnountej ouai toij katoikousin thn ghn kai thn qalassan oti katebh o diaboloj proj umaj exwn qumon megan eidwj oti oligon kairon exei 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
12:13 Et postquam vidit draco quod projectus esset in terram, persecutus est mulierem, quæ peperit masculum: 12:13 kai ote eiden o drakwn oti eblhqh eij thn ghn ediwcen thn gunaika htij eteken ton arrena 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
12:14 et datæ sunt mulieri alæ duæ aquilæ magnæ ut volaret in desertum in locum suum, ubi alitur per tempus et tempora, et dimidium temporis a facie serpentis. 12:14 kai edoqhsan th gunaiki duo pterugej tou aetou tou megalou ina pethtai eij thn erhmon eij ton topon authj opou trefetai ekei kairon kai kairouj kai hmisu kairou apo proswpou tou ofewj 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
12:15 Et misit serpens ex ore suo post mulierem, aquam tamquam flumen, ut eam faceret trahi a flumine. 12:15 kai ebalen o ofij opisw thj gunaikoj ek tou stomatoj autou udwr wj potamon ina tauthn potamoforhton poihsh 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
12:16 Et adjuvit terra mulierem, et aperuit terra os suum, et absorbuit flumen, quod misit draco de ore suo. 12:16 kai ebohqhsen h gh th gunaiki kai hnoicen h gh to stoma authj kai katepien ton potamon on ebalen o drakwn ek tou stomatoj autou 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
12:17 Et iratus est draco in mulierem: et abiit facere prælium cum reliquis de semine ejus, qui custodiunt mandata Dei, et habent testimonium Jesu Christi. 12:17 kai wrgisqh o drakwn epi th gunaiki kai aphlqen poihsai polemon meta twn loipwn tou spermatoj authj twn thrountwn taj entolaj tou qeou kai exontwn thn marturian tou ihsou xristou 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
