Revelation 8:1 Et cum aperuisset sigillum septimum, factum est silentium in cælo, quasi media hora. Revelation 8:1 kai ote hnoicen thn sfragida thn ebdomhn egeneto sigh en tw ouranw wj hmiwrion Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
8:2 Et vidi septem angelos stantes in conspectu Dei: et datæ sunt illis septem tubæ. 8:2 kai eidon touj epta aggelouj oi enwpion tou qeou esthkasin kai edoqhsan autoij epta salpiggej 8:2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
8:3 Et alius angelus venit, et stetit ante altare habens thuribulum aureum: et data sunt illi incensa multa, ut daret de orationibus sanctorum omnium super altare aureum, quod est ante thronum Dei. 8:3 kai alloj aggeloj hlqen kai estaqh epi to qusiasthrion exwn libanwton xrusoun kai edoqh autw qumiamata polla ina dwsh taij proseuxaij twn agiwn pantwn epi to qusiasthrion to xrusoun to enwpion tou qronou 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
8:4 Et ascendit fumus incensorum de orationibus sanctorum de manu angeli coram Deo. 8:4 kai anebh o kapnoj twn qumiamatwn taij proseuxaij twn agiwn ek xeiroj tou aggelou enwpion tou qeou 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
8:5 Et accepit angelus thuribulum, et implevit illud de igne altaris, et misit in terram: et facta sunt tonitrua, et voces, et fulgura, et terræmotus magnus. 8:5 kai eilhfen o aggeloj to libanwton kai egemisen auto ek tou puroj tou qusiasthriou kai ebalen eij thn ghn kai egenonto fwnai kai brontai kai astrapai kai seismoj 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
8:6 Et septem angeli, qui habebant septem tubas, præparaverunt se ut tuba canerent. 8:6 kai oi epta aggeloi oi exontej taj epta salpiggaj htoimasan eautouj ina salpiswsin 8:6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
8:7 Et primus angelus tuba cecinit, et facta est grando, et ignis, mista in sanguine, et missum est in terram, et tertia pars terræ combusta est, et tertia pars arborum concremata est, et omne fœnum viride combustum est. 8:7 kai o prwtoj aggeloj esalpisen kai egeneto xalaza kai pur memigmena aimati kai eblhqh eij thn ghn kai to triton twn dendrwn katekah kai paj xortoj xlwroj katekah 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
8:8 Et secundus angelus tuba cecinit: et tamquam mons magnus igne ardens missus est in mare, et facta est tertia pars maris sanguis, 8:8 kai o deuteroj aggeloj esalpisen kai wj oroj mega puri kaiomenon eblhqh eij thn qalassan kai egeneto to triton thj qalasshj aima 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
8:9 et mortua est tertia pars creaturæ eorum, quæ habebant animas in mari, et tertia pars navium interiit. 8:9 kai apeqanen to triton twn ktismatwn twn en th qalassh ta exonta yuxaj kai to triton twn ploiwn diefqarh 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
Revelation 8:10 Et tertius angelus tuba cecinit: et cecidit de cælo stella magna, ardens tamquam facula, et cecidit in tertiam partem fluminum, et in fontes aquarum: Revelation 8:10 kai o tritoj aggeloj esalpisen kai epesen ek tou ouranou asthr megaj kaiomenoj wj lampaj kai epesen epi to triton twn potamwn kai epi taj phgaj udatwn Revelation 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
8:11 et nomen stellæ dicitur Absinthium, et facta est tertia pars aquarum in absinthium; et multi hominum mortui sunt de aquis, quia amaræ factæ sunt. 8:11 kai to onoma tou asteroj legetai ayinqoj kai ginetai to triton twn udatwn eij ayinqon kai polloi anqrwpwn apeqanon ek twn udatwn oti epikranqhsan 8:11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
8:12 Et quartus angelus tuba cecinit: et percussa est tertia pars solis, et tertia pars lunæ, et tertia pars stellarum, ita ut obscuraretur tertia pars eorum, et diei non luceret pars tertia, et noctis similiter. 8:12 kai o tetartoj aggeloj esalpisen kai eplhgh to triton tou hliou kai to triton thj selhnhj kai to triton twn asterwn ina skotisqh to triton autwn kai h hmera mh fainh to triton authj kai h nuc omoiwj 8:12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
8:13 Et vidi, et audivi vocem unius aquilæ volantis per medium cæli dicentis voce magna: Væ, væ, væ habitantibus in terra de ceteris vocibus trium angelorum, qui erant tuba canituri. 8:13 kai eidon kai hkousa enoj aggelou petwmenou en mesouranhmati legontoj fwnh megalh ouai ouai ouai toij katoikousin epi thj ghj ek twn loipwn fwnwn thj salpiggoj twn triwn aggelwn twn mellontwn salpizein 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
