Revelation 13:1 Et vidi de mari bestiam ascendentem habentem capita septem, et cornua decem, et super cornua ejus decem diademata, et super capita ejus nomina blasphemiæ. Revelation 13:1 kai estaqhn epi thn ammon thj qalasshj kai eidon ek thj qalasshj qhrion anabainon exon kefalaj epta kai kerata deka kai epi twn keratwn autou deka diadhmata kai epi taj kefalaj autou onoma blasfhmiaj Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
13:2 Et bestia, quam vidi, similis erat pardo, et pedes ejus sicut pedes ursi, et os ejus sicut os leonis. Et dedit illi draco virtutem suam, et potestatem magnam. 13:2 kai to qhrion o eidon hn omoion pardalei kai oi podej autou wj arktou kai to stoma autou wj stoma leontoj kai edwken autw o drakwn thn dunamin autou kai ton qronon autou kai ecousian megalhn 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
13:3 Et vidi unum de capitibus suis quasi occisum in mortem: et plaga mortis ejus curata est. Et admirata est universa terra post bestiam. 13:3 kai eidon mian twn kefalwn autou wj esfagmenhn eij qanaton kai h plhgh tou qanatou autou eqerapeuqh kai eqaumasen olh h gh opisw tou qhriou 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
13:4 Et adoraverunt draconem, qui dedit potestatem bestiæ: et adoraverunt bestiam, dicentes: Quis similis bestiæ? et quis poterit pugnare cum ea? 13:4 kai prosekunhsan ton drakonta oj edwken ecousian tw qhriw kai prosekunhsan to qhrion legontej tij omoioj tw qhriw tij dunatai polemhsai met autou 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
13:5 Et datum est ei os loquens magna et blasphemias: et data est ei potestas facere menses quadraginta duos. 13:5 kai edoqh autw stoma laloun megala kai blasfhmiaj kai edoqh autw ecousia poihsai mhnaj tessarakonta duo 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
13:6 Et aperuit os suum in blasphemias ad Deum, blasphemare nomen ejus, et tabernaculum ejus, et eos qui in cælo habitant. 13:6 kai hnoicen to stoma autou eij blasfhmian proj ton qeon blasfhmhsai to onoma autou kai thn skhnhn autou kai touj en tw ouranw skhnountaj 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
13:7 Et est datum illi bellum facere cum sanctis, et vincere eos. Et data est illi potestas in omnem tribum, et populum, et linguam, et gentem, 13:7 kai edoqh autw polemon poihsai meta twn agiwn kai nikhsai autouj kai edoqh autw ecousia epi pasan fulhn kai glwssan kai eqnoj 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
13:8 et adoraverunt eam omnes, qui inhabitant terram: quorum non sunt scripta nomina in libro vitæ Agni, qui occisus est ab origine mundi. 13:8 kai proskunhsousin autw pantej oi katoikountej epi thj ghj wn ou gegraptai ta onomata en th biblw thj zwhj tou arniou esfagmenou apo katabolhj kosmou 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
13:9 Si quis habet aurem, audiat. 13:9 ei tij exei ouj akousatw 13:9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
Revelation 13:10 Qui in captivitatem duxerit, in captivitatem vadet: qui in gladio occiderit, oportet eum gladio occidi. Hic est patientia, et fides sanctorum. Revelation 13:10 ei tij aixmalwsian sunagei eij aixmalwsian upagei ei tij en maxaira apoktenei dei auton en maxaira apoktanqhnai wde estin h upomonh kai h pistij twn agiwn Revelation 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
13:11 Et vidi aliam bestiam ascendentem de terra, et habebat cornua duo similia Agni, et loquebatur sicut draco. 13:11 kai eidon allo qhrion anabainon ek thj ghj kai eixen kerata duo omoia arniw kai elalei wj drakwn 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13:12 Et potestatem prioris bestiæ omnem faciebat in conspectu ejus: et fecit terram, et habitantes in ea, adorare bestiam primam, cujus curata est plaga mortis. 13:12 kai thn ecousian tou prwtou qhriou pasan poiei enwpion autou kai poiei thn ghn kai touj katoikountaj en auth ina proskunhswsin to qhrion to prwton ou eqerapeuqh h plhgh tou qanatou autou 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
13:13 Et fecit signa magna, ut etiam ignem faceret de cælo descendere in terram in conspectu hominum. 13:13 kai poiei shmeia megala ina kai pur poih katabainein ek tou ouranou eij thn ghn enwpion twn anqrwpwn 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
13:14 Et seduxit habitantes in terra propter signa, quæ data sunt illi facere in conspectu bestiæ, dicens habitantibus in terra, ut faciant imaginem bestiæ, quæ habet plagam gladii, et vixit. 13:14 kai plana touj katoikountaj epi thj ghj dia ta shmeia a edoqh autw poihsai enwpion tou qhriou legwn toij katoikousin epi thj ghj poihsai eikona tw qhriw o exei thn plhghn thj maxairaj kai ezhsen 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
13:15 Et datum est illi ut daret spiritum imagini bestiæ, et ut loquatur imago bestiæ: et faciat ut quicumque non adoraverint imaginem bestiæ, occidantur. 13:15 kai edoqh autw dounai pneuma th eikoni tou qhriou ina kai lalhsh h eikwn tou qhriou kai poihsh osoi an mh proskunhswsin thn eikona tou qhriou ina apoktanqwsin 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
13:16 Et faciet omnes pusillos, et magnos, et divites, et pauperes, et liberos, et servos habere caracterem in dextera manu sua, aut in frontibus suis: 13:16 kai poiei pantaj touj mikrouj kai touj megalouj kai touj plousiouj kai touj ptwxouj kai touj eleuqerouj kai touj doulouj ina dwsh autoij xaragma epi thj xeiroj autwn thj deciaj h epi twn metwpwn autwn 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
13:17 et nequis possit emere, aut vendere, nisi qui habet caracterem, aut nomen bestiæ, aut numerum nominis ejus. 13:17 kai ina mh tij dunhtai agorasai h pwlhsai ei mh o exwn to xaragma h to onoma tou qhriou h ton ariqmon tou onomatoj autou 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18 Hic sapientia est. Qui habet intellectum, computet numerum bestiæ. Numerus enim hominis est: et numerus ejus sexcenti sexaginta sex. 13:18 wde h sofia estin o exwn ton noun yhfisatw ton ariqmon tou qhriou ariqmoj gar anqrwpou estin kai o ariqmoj autou xcj 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
