Matthew 18:1 In illa hora accesserunt discipuli ad Jesum, dicentes: Quis, putas, major est in regno cælorum? Matthew 18:1 en ekeinh th wra proshlqon oi maqhtai tw ihsou legontej tij ara meizwn estin en th basileia twn ouranwn Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
18:2 Et advocans Jesus parvulum, statuit eum in medio eorum, 18:2 kai proskalesamenoj o ihsouj paidion esthsen auto en mesw autwn 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
18:3 et dixit: Amen dico vobis, nisi conversi fueritis, et efficiamini sicut parvuli, non intrabitis in regnum cælorum. 18:3 kai eipen amhn legw umin ean mh strafhte kai genhsqe wj ta paidia ou mh eiselqhte eij thn basileian twn ouranwn 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
18:4 Quicumque ergo humiliaverit se sicut parvulus iste, hic est major in regno cælorum. 18:4 ostij oun tapeinwsh eauton wj to paidion touto outoj estin o meizwn en th basileia twn ouranwn 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
18:5 Et qui susceperit unum parvulum talem in nomine meo, me suscipit: 18:5 kai oj ean dechtai paidion toiouton en epi tw onomati mou eme dexetai 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
18:6 qui autem scandalizaverit unum de pusillis istis, qui in me credunt, expedit ei ut suspendatur mola asinaria in collo ejus, et demergatur in profundum maris. 18:6 oj d an skandalish ena twn mikrwn toutwn twn pisteuontwn eij eme sumferei autw ina kremasqh muloj onikoj epi ton traxhlon autou kai katapontisqh en tw pelagei thj qalasshj 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
18:7 Væ mundo a scandalis! Necesse est enim ut veniant scandala: verumtamen væ homini illi, per quem scandalum venit. 18:7 ouai tw kosmw apo twn skandalwn anagkh gar estin elqein ta skandala plhn ouai tw anqrwpw ekeinw di ou to skandalon erxetai 18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
18:8 Si autem manus tua, vel pes tuus scandalizat te, abscide eum, et projice abs te: bonum tibi est ad vitam ingredi debilem, vel claudum, quam duas manus vel duos pedes habentem mitti in ignem æternum. 18:8 ei de h xeir sou h o pouj sou skandalizei se ekkoyon auta kai bale apo sou kalon soi estin eiselqein eij thn zwhn xwlon h kullon h duo xeiraj h duo podaj exonta blhqhnai eij to pur to aiwnion 18:8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
18:9 Et si oculus tuus scandalizat te, erue eum, et projice abs te: bonum tibi est cum uno oculo in vitam intrare, quam duos oculos habentem mitti in gehennam ignis. 18:9 kai ei o ofqalmoj sou skandalizei se ecele auton kai bale apo sou kalon soi estin monofqalmon eij thn zwhn eiselqein h duo ofqalmouj exonta blhqhnai eij thn geennan tou puroj 18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Matthew 18:10 Videte ne contemnatis unum ex his pusillis: dico enim vobis, quia angeli eorum in cælis semper vident faciem Patris mei, qui in cælis est. 18:11 Venit enim Filius hominis salvare quod perierat. 18:11 hlqen gar o uioj tou anqrwpou swsai to apolwloj 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
18:12 Quid vobis videtur? si fuerint alicui centum oves, et erravit una ex eis: nonne relinquit nonaginta novem in montibus, et vadit quærere eam quæ erravit? 18:12 ti umin dokei ean genhtai tini anqrwpw ekaton probata kai planhqh en ec autwn ouxi afeij ta ennenhkontaennea epi ta orh poreuqeij zhtei to planwmenon 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
18:13 Et si contigerit ut inveniat eam: amen dico vobis, quia gaudet super eam magis quam super nonaginta novem, quæ non erraverunt. 18:13 kai ean genhtai eurein auto amhn legw umin oti xairei ep autw mallon h epi toij ennenhkontaennea toij mh peplanhmenoij 18:13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
18:14 Sic non est voluntas ante Patrem vestrum, qui in cælis est, ut pereat unus de pusillis istis. 18:14 outwj ouk estin qelhma emprosqen tou patroj umwn tou en ouranoij ina apolhtai eij twn mikrwn toutwn 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
18:15 Si autem peccaverit in te frater tuus, vade, et corripe eum inter te, et ipsum solum: si te audierit, lucratus eris fratrem tuum. 18:15 ean de amarthsh eij se o adelfoj sou upage kai elegcon auton metacu sou kai autou monou ean sou akoush ekerdhsaj ton adelfon sou 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
18:16 Si autem te non audierit, adhibe tecum adhuc unum, vel duos, ut in ore duorum, vel trium testium stet omne verbum. 18:16 ean de mh akoush paralabe meta sou eti ena h duo ina epi stomatoj duo marturwn h triwn staqh pan rhma 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
18:17 Quod si non audierit eos: dic ecclesiæ. Si autem ecclesiam non audierit, sit tibi sicut ethnicus et publicanus. 18:17 ean de parakoush autwn eipe th ekklhsia ean de kai thj ekklhsiaj parakoush estw soi wsper o eqnikoj kai o telwnhj 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
18:18 Amen dico vobis, quæcumque alligaveritis super terram, erunt ligata et in cælo: et quæcumque solveritis super terram, erunt soluta et in cælo. 18:18 amhn legw umin osa ean dhshte epi thj ghj estai dedemena en tw ouranw kai osa ean lushte epi thj ghj estai lelumena en tw ouranw 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
18:19 Iterum dico vobis, quia si duo ex vobis consenserint super terram, de omni re quamcumque petierint, fiet illis a Patre meo, qui in cælis est. 18:19 palin legw umin oti ean duo umwn sumfwnhswsin epi thj ghj peri pantoj pragmatoj ou ean aithswntai genhsetai autoij para tou patroj mou tou en ouranoij 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

18:21 Tunc accedens Petrus ad eum, dixit: Domine, quoties peccabit in me frater meus, et dimittam ei? usque septies? 18:21 tote proselqwn autw o petroj eipen kurie posakij amarthsei eij eme o adelfoj mou kai afhsw autw ewj eptakij 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
18:22 Dicit illi Jesus: Non dico tibi usque septies: sed usque septuagies septies. 18:22 legei autw o ihsouj ou legw soi ewj eptakij all ewj ebdomhkontakij epta 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
18:23 Ideo assimilatum est regnum cælorum homini regi, qui voluit rationem ponere cum servis suis. 18:23 dia touto wmoiwqh h basileia twn ouranwn anqrwpw basilei oj hqelhsen sunarai logon meta twn doulwn autou 18:23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
18:24 Et cum cœpisset rationem ponere, oblatus est ei unus, qui debebat ei decem millia talenta. 18:24 arcamenou de autou sunairein proshnexqh autw eij ofeilethj muriwn talantwn 18:24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
18:25 Cum autem non haberet unde redderet, jussit eum dominus ejus venundari, et uxorem ejus, et filios, et omnia quæ habebat, et reddi. 18:25 mh exontoj de autou apodounai ekeleusen auton o kurioj autou praqhnai kai thn gunaika autou kai ta tekna kai panta osa eixen kai apodoqhnai 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
18:26 Procidens autem servus ille, orabat eum, dicens: Patientiam habe in me, et omnia reddam tibi. 18:26 peswn oun o douloj prosekunei autw legwn kurie makroqumhson ep emoi kai panta soi apodwsw 18:26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
18:27 Misertus autem dominus servi illius, dimisit eum, et debitum dimisit ei. 18:27 splagxnisqeij de o kurioj tou doulou ekeinou apelusen auton kai to daneion afhken autw 18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
18:28 Egressus autem servus ille invenit unum de conservis suis, qui debebat ei centum denarios: et tenens suffocavit eum, dicens: Redde quod debes. 18:28 ecelqwn de o douloj ekeinoj euren ena twn sundoulwn autou oj wfeilen autw ekaton dhnaria kai krathsaj auton epnigen legwn apodoj moi o ti ofeileij 18:28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
18:29 Et procidens conservus ejus, rogabat eum, dicens: Patientiam habe in me, et omnia reddam tibi. 18:29 peswn oun o sundouloj autou eij touj podaj autou parekalei auton legwn makroqumhson ep emoi kai panta apodwsw soi 18:29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Matthew 18:30 Ille autem noluit: sed abiit, et misit eum in carcerem donec redderet debitum. Matthew 18:30 o de ouk hqelen all apelqwn ebalen auton eij fulakhn ewj ou apodw to ofeilomenon Matthew 18:30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
18:31 Videntes autem conservi ejus quæ fiebant, contristati sunt valde: et venerunt, et narraverunt domino suo omnia quæ facta fuerant. 18:31 idontej de oi sundouloi autou ta genomena eluphqhsan sfodra kai elqontej diesafhsan tw kuriw autwn panta ta genomena 18:31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
18:32 Tunc vocavit illum dominus suus: et ait illi: Serve nequam, omne debitum dimisi tibi quoniam rogasti me: 18:32 tote proskalesamenoj auton o kurioj autou legei autw doule ponhre pasan thn ofeilhn ekeinhn afhka soi epei parekalesaj me 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
18:33 nonne ergo oportuit et te misereri conservi tui, sicut et ego tui misertus sum? 18:33 ouk edei kai se elehsai ton sundoulon sou wj kai egw se hlehsa 18:33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
18:34 Et iratus dominus ejus tradidit eum tortoribus, quoadusque redderet universum debitum. 18:34 kai orgisqeij o kurioj autou paredwken auton toij basanistaij ewj ou apodw pan to ofeilomenon autw 18:34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
18:35 Sic et Pater meus cælestis faciet vobis, si non remiseritis unusquisque fratri suo de cordibus vestris. 18:35 outwj kai o pathr mou o epouranioj poihsei umin ean mh afhte ekastoj tw adelfw autou apo twn kardiwn umwn ta paraptwmata autwn 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
