Matthew 24:1 Et egressus Jesus de templo, ibat. Et accesserunt discipuli ejus, ut ostenderent ei ædificationes templi. Matthew 24:1 kai ecelqwn o ihsouj eporeueto apo tou ierou kai proshlqon oi maqhtai autou epideicai autw taj oikodomaj tou ierou Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
24:2 Ipse autem respondens dixit illis: Videtis hæc omnia? amen dico vobis, non relinquetur hic lapis super lapidem, qui non destruatur. 24:2 o de ihsouj eipen autoij ou blepete panta tauta amhn legw umin ou mh afeqh wde liqoj epi liqon oj ou mh kataluqhsetai 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
24:3 Sedente autem eo super montem Oliveti, accesserunt ad eum discipuli secreto, dicentes: Dic nobis, quando hæc erunt? et quod signum adventus tui, et consummationis sæculi? 24:3 kaqhmenou de autou epi tou orouj twn elaiwn proshlqon autw oi maqhtai kat idian legontej eipe hmin pote tauta estai kai ti to shmeion thj shj parousiaj kai thj sunteleiaj tou aiwnoj 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
24:4 Et respondens Jesus, dixit eis: Videte ne quis vos seducat: 24:4 kai apokriqeij o ihsouj eipen autoij blepete mh tij umaj planhsh 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
24:5 multi enim venient in nomine meo, dicentes: Ego sum Christus: et multos seducent. 24:5 polloi gar eleusontai epi tw onomati mou legontej egw eimi o xristoj kai pollouj planhsousin 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
24:6 Audituri enim estis prælia, et opiniones præliorum. Videte ne turbemini: oportet enim hæc fieri, sed nondum est finis: 24:6 mellhsete de akouein polemouj kai akoaj polemwn orate mh qroeisqe dei gar panta genesqai all oupw estin to teloj 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
24:7 consurget enim gens in gentem, et regnum in regnum, et erunt pestilentiæ, et fames, et terræmotus per loca: 24:7 egerqhsetai gar eqnoj epi eqnoj kai basileia epi basileian kai esontai limoi kai loimoi kai seismoi kata topouj 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
24:8 hæc autem omnia initia sunt dolorum. 24:8 panta de tauta arxh wdinwn 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
24:9 Tunc tradent vos in tribulationem, et occident vos: et eritis odio omnibus gentibus propter nomen meum. 24:9 tote paradwsousin umaj eij qliyin kai apoktenousin umaj kai esesqe misoumenoi upo pantwn twn eqnwn dia to onoma mou 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
Matthew 24:10 Et tunc scandalizabuntur multi, et invicem tradent, et odio habebunt invicem. Matthew 24:10 kai tote skandalisqhsontai polloi kai allhlouj paradwsousin kai mishsousin allhlouj Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
24:11 Et multi pseudoprophetæ surgent, et seducent multos. 24:11 kai polloi yeudoprofhtai egerqhsontai kai planhsousin pollouj 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
24:12 Et quoniam abundavit iniquitas, refrigescet caritas multorum: 24:12 kai dia to plhqunqhnai thn anomian yughsetai h agaph twn pollwn 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
24:13 qui autem perseveraverit usque in finem, hic salvus erit. 24:13 o de upomeinaj eij teloj outoj swqhsetai 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
24:14 Et prædicabitur hoc Evangelium regni in universo orbe, in testimonium omnibus gentibus: et tunc veniet consummatio. 24:14 kai khruxqhsetai touto to euaggelion thj basileiaj en olh th oikoumenh eij marturion pasin toij eqnesin kai tote hcei to teloj 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
24:15 Cum ergo videritis abominationem desolationis, quæ dicta est a Daniele propheta, stantem in loco sancto, qui legit, intelligat: 24:15 otan oun idhte to bdelugma thj erhmwsewj to rhqen dia danihl tou profhtou estwj en topw agiw o anaginwskwn noeitw 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
24:16 tunc qui in Judæa sunt, fugiant ad montes: 24:16 tote oi en th ioudaia feugetwsan epi ta orh 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
24:17 et qui in tecto, non descendat tollere aliquid de domo sua: 24:17 o epi tou dwmatoj mh katabainetw arai ti ek thj oikiaj autou 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
24:18 et qui in agro, non revertatur tollere tunicam suam. 24:18 kai o en tw agrw mh epistreyatw opisw arai ta imatia autou 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
24:19 Væ autem prægnantibus et nutrientibus in illis diebus! 24:19 ouai de taij en gastri exousaij kai taij qhlazousaij en ekeinaij taij hmeraij 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Matthew 24:20 Orate autem ut non fiat fuga vestra in hieme, vel sabbato: Matthew 24:20 proseuxesqe de ina mh genhtai h fugh umwn xeimwnoj mhde en sabbatw Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
24:21 erit enim tunc tribulatio magna, qualis non fuit ab initio mundi usque modo, neque fiet. 24:21 estai gar tote qliyij megalh oia ou gegonen ap arxhj kosmou ewj tou nun oud ou mh genhtai 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
24:22 Et nisi breviati fuissent dies illi, non fieret salva omnis caro: sed propter electos breviabuntur dies illi. 24:22 kai ei mh ekolobwqhsan ai hmerai ekeinai ouk an eswqh pasa sarc dia de touj eklektouj kolobwqhsontai ai hmerai ekeinai 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
24:23 Tunc si quis vobis dixerit: Ecce hic est Christus, aut illic: nolite credere. 24:23 tote ean tij umin eiph idou wde o xristoj h wde mh pisteushte 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24:24 Surgent enim pseudochristi, et pseudoprophetæ: et dabunt signa magna, et prodigia, ita ut in errorem inducantur (si fieri potest) etiam electi. 24:24 egerqhsontai gar yeudoxristoi kai yeudoprofhtai kai dwsousin shmeia megala kai terata wste planhsai ei dunaton kai touj eklektouj 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
24:25 Ecce prædixi vobis. 24:25 idou proeirhka umin 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
24:26 Si ergo dixerint vobis: Ecce in deserto est, nolite exire; Ecce in penetralibus, nolite credere. 24:26 ean oun eipwsin umin idou en th erhmw estin mh ecelqhte idou en toij tameioij mh pisteushte 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
24:27 Sicut enim fulgur exit ab oriente, et paret usque in occidentem: ita erit et adventus Filii hominis. 24:27 wsper gar h astraph ecerxetai apo anatolwn kai fainetai ewj dusmwn outwj estai kai h parousia tou uiou tou anqrwpou 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:28 Ubicumque fuerit corpus, illic congregabuntur et aquilæ. 24:28 opou gar ean h to ptwma ekei sunaxqhsontai oi aetoi 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
24:29 Statim autem post tribulationem dierum illorum sol obscurabitur, et luna non dabit lumen suum, et stellæ cadent de cælo, et virtutes cælorum commovebuntur: 24:29 euqewj de meta thn qliyin twn hmerwn ekeinwn o hlioj skotisqhsetai kai h selhnh ou dwsei to feggoj authj kai oi asterej pesountai apo tou ouranou kai ai dunameij twn ouranwn saleuqhsontai 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matthew 24:30 et tunc parebit signum Filii hominis in cælo: et tunc plangent omnes tribus terræ: et videbunt Filium hominis venientem in nubibus cæli cum virtute multa et majestate. Matthew 24:30 kai tote fanhsetai to shmeion tou uiou tou anqrwpou en tw ouranw kai tote koyontai pasai ai fulai thj ghj kai oyontai ton uion tou anqrwpou erxomenon epi twn nefelwn tou ouranou meta dunamewj kai dochj pollhj Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
24:31 Et mittet angelos suos cum tuba, et voce magna: et congregabunt electos ejus a quatuor ventis, a summis cælorum usque ad terminos eorum. 24:31 kai apostelei touj aggelouj autou meta salpiggoj fwnhj megalhj kai episunacousin touj eklektouj autou ek twn tessarwn anemwn ap akrwn ouranwn ewj akrwn autwn 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
24:32 Ab arbore autem fici discite parabolam: cum jam ramus ejus tener fuerit, et folia nata, scitis quia prope est æstas: 24:32 apo de thj sukhj maqete thn parabolhn otan hdh o kladoj authj genhtai apaloj kai ta fulla ekfuh ginwskete oti egguj to qeroj 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
24:33 ita et vos cum videritis hæc omnia, scitote quia prope est, in januis. 24:33 outwj kai umeij otan idhte panta tauta ginwskete oti egguj estin epi quraij 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
24:34 Amen dico vobis, quia non præteribit generatio hæc, donec omnia hæc fiant. 24:34 amhn legw umin ou mh parelqh h genea auth ewj an panta tauta genhtai 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
24:35 Cælum et terra transibunt, verba autem mea non præteribunt. 24:35 o ouranoj kai h gh pareleusontai oi de logoi mou ou mh parelqwsin 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
24:36 De die autem illa et hora nemo scit, neque angeli cælorum, nisi solus Pater. 24:36 peri de thj hmeraj ekeinhj kai thj wraj oudeij oiden oude oi aggeloi twn ouranwn ei mh o pathr mou monoj 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
24:37 Sicut autem in diebus Noë, ita erit et adventus Filii hominis: 24:37 wsper de ai hmerai tou nwe outwj estai kai h parousia tou uiou tou anqrwpou 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:38 sicut enim erant in diebus ante diluvium comedentes et bibentes, nubentes et nuptum tradentes, usque ad eum diem, quo intravit Noë in arcam, 24:38 wsper gar hsan en taij hmeraij taij pro tou kataklusmou trwgontej kai pinontej gamountej kai ekgamizontej axri hj hmeraj eishlqen nwe eij thn kibwton 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39 et non cognoverunt donec venit diluvium, et tulit omnes: ita erit et adventus Filii hominis. 24:39 kai ouk egnwsan ewj hlqen o kataklusmoj kai hren apantaj outwj estai kai h parousia tou uiou tou anqrwpou 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:40 Tunc duo erunt in agro: unus assumetur, et unus relinquetur. Matthew 24:40 tote duo esontai en tw agrw o eij paralambanetai kai o eij afietai Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
24:41 Duæ molentes in mola: una assumetur, et una relinquetur. 24:41 duo alhqousai en tw mulwni mia paralambanetai kai mia afietai 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
24:42 Vigilate ergo, quia nescitis qua hora Dominus vester venturus sit. 24:42 grhgoreite oun oti ouk oidate poia wra o kurioj umwn erxetai 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
24:43 Illud autem scitote, quoniam si sciret paterfamilias qua hora fur venturus esset, vigilaret utique, et non sineret perfodi domum suam. 24:43 ekeino de ginwskete oti ei hdei o oikodespothj poia fulakh o klepthj erxetai egrhgorhsen an kai ouk an eiasen diorughnai thn oikian autou 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
24:44 Ideo et vos estote parati: quia qua nescitis hora Filius hominis venturus est. 24:44 dia touto kai umeij ginesqe etoimoi oti h wra ou dokeite o uioj tou anqrwpou erxetai 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
24:45 Quis, putas, est fidelis servus, et prudens, quem constituit dominus suus super familiam suam ut det illis cibum in tempore? 24:45 tij ara estin o pistoj douloj kai fronimoj on katesthsen o kurioj autou epi thj qerapeiaj autou tou didonai autoij thn trofhn en kairw 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
24:46 Beatus ille servus, quem cum venerit dominus ejus, invenerit sic facientem. 24:46 makarioj o douloj ekeinoj on elqwn o kurioj autou eurhsei poiounta outwj 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
24:47 Amen dico vobis, quoniam super omnia bona sua constituet eum. 24:47 amhn legw umin oti epi pasin toij uparxousin autou katasthsei auton 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
24:48 Si autem dixerit malus servus ille in corde suo: Moram fecit dominus meus venire: 24:48 ean de eiph o kakoj douloj ekeinoj en th kardia autou xronizei o kurioj mou elqein 24:48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
24:49 et cœperit percutere conservos suos, manducet autem et bibat cum ebriosis: 24:49 kai archtai tuptein touj sundoulouj esqiein de kai pinein meta twn mequontwn 24:49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
Matthew 24:50 veniet dominus servi illius in die qua non sperat, et hora qua ignorat: Matthew 24:50 hcei o kurioj tou doulou ekeinou en hmera h ou prosdoka kai en wra h ou ginwskei Matthew 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
24:51 et dividet eum, partemque ejus ponet cum hypocritis: illic erit fletus et stridor dentium. 24:51 kai dixotomhsei auton kai to meroj autou meta twn upokritwn qhsei ekei estai o klauqmoj kai o brugmoj twn odontwn 24:51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
